WALKING

And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.Galatians 6:9

We easily grow tired as we serve the Master here,
But He promises a harvest if we trust and do not fear.(RP)

Ever since the cardiologist at Virginia Mason Hospital detected something in my vital signs, I have been walking. Several years back, Margie and I walked a mile a day,  When she was no longer able to do that, she feared something would happen to me, so I stopped.  Now I have resumed those walks. Sometimes it is in Bellis Fair Mall, Bellingham, or at Fred Meyer store. Usually I walk here near our house in about a mile route. Still no word about the appeal to the insurance company, so we plan on going to Swedish Hospital next Wednesday for another appointment with the surgeon there. Thanks for your prayers.

YESTERDAY AT CHURCH

1 Corinthians 10:31
Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.

God saved us, forgave us, and promises eternal life,
And all this in a world that is filled with sin and strife.
He expects us to honor Him in our walk down here,
Daily we should be grateful, and so glad He is near.
In all we do every day,my friend, learn to glorify God,
Any other behavior would certainly be very odd.
So in all we do down here, be careful to obey,
And God will surely bless you each and every day. (RP)

Yesterday was my day to be at our church as an elder. There are several things I did while there, but the most was done by our church secretary Marianne Brudwick, who kindly helped me initiate an appeal to the insurance company concerning their denial to fund my operation at Virginia Mason Hospital in Seattle. I appreciate her help. She has experience in this because of her husband Rod who had multiple medical bills before his death.  We did not receive any other calls yesterday, so really don't know where we are in this process. Thank you so much for praying.

ONE DAY AT A TIME

Psalm 30:5  For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for life; Weeping may endure for a night, But joy comes in the morning

God's trials come and go, but He sends them to teach us well,
They are sent by His loving hand, not meant to make us rebel.
Weeping is short lived, and the morning will very soon be here,
The joy comes in the morning, when His dear voice we hear, (RP)

In this insurance tangle I am learning quickly that it is one day at a time. At times I really don't know which way to turn. I am glad we can pray and seek the Lord's guidance. Yesterday Swedish Hospital called and booked me for an appointment next week. Then I reflected on the quality time we had with the surgeons at Virginia Mason, only to learn that my insurance carrier denied payment for those professionals.  It was suggested to me that we appeal their decision, which is okay, and the company even gives the details how to do it. So I may do that, unless some direction from the Lord would suggest otherwise. Thanks so much for praying.

TRUSTING TODAY

The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. Psalm 18:2

We can boast in the right way, so many things, that we possess in Christ our Lord,
Just look at the way He protects each day, giving refuge that can't be ignored.
I'm so glad that our position in Him is secure and without fear it will ever fail,
And this place in His care is so sure that we know it will forever and always prevail.
His strength and shield and stronghold and salvation are just some of the things he provides,

And the list could go on for a long time, I know, because He comforts and continually guides.(RP)

I am trusting the Lord for a solution to the dilemma that hit me Friday. I will be on the phone first thing this morning, trying to find a surgeon approved by my insurance carrier, to do the work needed. I also will find out if the stress test is even on the list. I doubt it. So we may be starting at square one today and see if we can get satisfaction on any of this. Thanks so much for praying. I really appreciate it.

UNEXPECTED GLITCH

Ps 122:1  I was glad when they said to me, "Let us go into the house of the LORD."

The joy of going to church today, is the greatest thing to do,
I would rather be there than anywhere else, and this is very true. (RP)

A simple thing of being sure the software on my laptop is licensed correctly, led to a several-hour episode yesterday. And it is not over yet. Today a technician will call me and re-install the Microsoft Office on the machine. So right now I have no program at all that I normally use. Hopefully this afternoon it will be resolved. Thanks so much for your prayers. And please remember me tomorrow when I start the hunt to find a surgeon to do the necessary work in my body.

UNEXPECTED NEWS

They will fight against you, But they shall not prevail against you. For I am with you, says the LORD,to deliver you.     Jer 1:19

No matter how tough the battle may get, the promise of God stands tall,
He'll protect and guide and control all affairs and hide you behind his strong wall.
Believe what He says,"I am with you", my child, and this is my promise to you,
I'll be there beside you in thick and thin, and will deliver and see you through.(RP)

Late yesterday afternoon my son brought me the mail, and to my utter surprise was this news: NOTICE OF DENIAL OF MEDICAL COVERAGE.  It is hard to believe my disappointment. After all the great consultations I had at Virginia Mason Hospital in Seattle, the doctors my E N T specialist recommended, are not listed on my insurance  network of providers. SO we start all over Monday and see what can be done. I appreciate prayer as I make the calls Monday to try and come to a logical conclusion to this problem. Thanks so much for your prayer support.

HOW DID YOU SPEND THANKGIVING?

God's Word is our foundation, on it we firmly stand,
Our heritage secure, and the guidance of His hand.
His joy is ours forever, given us by His great love,
And all this comes so freely from our Father up above.(RP)

Yesterday Rawlie came from his home in Stanwood and drove me to their church. There, a delicious meal was being prepared for those who gathered. It was great to meet new people, and see my grandchildren and Gina, and several others. Gina prepared a special soup for me, because I am on a liquid diet. It all went well and the time was enjoyable.  At 4 pm we started the trip back home. Rawlie is staying is with me and this morning we go for coffee and breakfast at Haggen food store (and Starbucks). Thanks so much for praying. There is no Bible class this morning because the Senior Center is closed.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING

Enter into His gates with thanksgiving,And into His courts with praise.Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.Psalm 100:4

Just look at all the things we can do to please the Lord today,
Be thankful and praise His name in everything you say,
And don't forget to be thankful to our Father up above
And bless His name continually because of His great love. (RP)

I trust each of you has a wonderful Thanksgiving and you can be thankful to Him for many things.
I AM THANKFUL
-For my family who really cares for me.
-For my church family who does the same.
-That God gave me strength to care for Margie.
-That this is the best Thanksgiving she has ever had.
-That I have given my health concerns to the Lord.
-That no matter how my surgery turns out, He gets all      the glory.
-That I can thank you right now for praying.

STUDYING

For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.  Heb 4:15-16

Jesus knows all about us: our problems, temptations and pain,
He understands our weakness and heartaches and why we so often complain,
Jesus suffered temptation like us, but did it without sinning once.
And now we can boldly approach Him bringing to Him all our wants.
Let's thank Him for his wonderful provision of grace in time of need,

And come often to the throne room in Heaven, to find help as He decreed. (RP)

It is interesting how the days line up. This week we have no Wed. night fellowship because of Thanksgiving. We also have no Thursday prayer meeting, for the same reason. Friday we do not have Bible class at the Senior Center, because it is closed.  All these facts have helped give more time to studying for my Joshua and Matthew classes. And as previously stated in other blogs, it gave me time to get printed most of the chapters of our book for a final review by Laurel, when she has the time.  I am heading out now for my walk. Yesterday I did it in the rain, and it is supposed to rain all day today. We will see. That is why they make raincoats. Thanks for praying.

LIQUID DIET TRIALS

There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.Romans 8:1

No condemnation are wonderful words to those who have believed in His name,
And this is the message we gladly put forth with a loud and forceful acclaim.
In Christ a new mode comes quickly in place and we walk in the Spirit for sure,

And even though in the flesh, we walk not in the flesh, and daily His will we procure.(RP)

Thanks for your suggestions for my liquid diet. I am putting them in practice and like them. My walk in the mall yesterday went well. One cannot complain of a nice dry, warm place to walk and they even have music piped in throughout the mall. I don't know where I will walk today. Right now I am at the church. This is my day to sit in my old office to greet those who might come in. Yesterday I finished correcting and printing new copies of all the chapters in my book, except for a few more I will receive as soon as Laurel, the editor, returns.  Thanks for praying.

WHERE DO I WALK?

He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him.Ps 91:15

A challenge to pray comes to us in this verse,
With a promise of an answer too.
So do what it says and you soon will see,

That He'll do more than you ever knew.(RP)

Yesterday was a great day at church. My Sunday School class was well attended, and we heard a good message in the morning service. It started to rain yesterday and is still doing it. I will go to Bellingham and walk in the mall. I must walk. Yesterday it was not possible, so today I will try it out. They predict flooding here this week. Rawlie is here working from home today. Thanks for praying.

GETTING READY FOR SUNDAY

Enter into His gates with thanksgiving,And into His courts with praise.Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.Psalm 100:4

Just look at all the things we can do to please the Lord today,
Be thankful and praise His name in everything you say,
And don't forget to be thankful to our Father up above

And bless His name continually because of His great love. (RP)

Saturday around this house is mostly doing all that has to be done, for Sunday.  I had a glitch in my study notes for the book of Joshua, and got that straightened out. It is very nice Rawlie came up Friday night. We went to Starbucks for coffee and had our breakfast in the Haggen dining room. Rawlie was working on business for his company so spent most the time on the computer. I had a meeting in the afternoon, and also took time for my daily walk. I am trying to get more in shape for the stress test that comes in December. In a couple of hours, I will be going down to church, and Rawlie will head back to Stanwood. Thanks for praying.

BACK TO STUDYING

Blessed are the pure in heart, For they shall see God. Mat 5:8

God is special in making pure hearts, and those who agree are blessed,
By receiving Jesus as Lord of their lives, and finding perfect rest.
When Jesus purifies the heart, one is clean indeed,
And secure in Jesus is the best place of all and surely will succeed.(RP)

It was nice being back in the Bible class after a week off, due o Veterans Day. There was a good group and we had a great time in Matthew 17. In the afternoon I resumed my studies in Joshua also. My liquid diet is going well. I made puree out of a popular soup I like, and it went down well. My walk also was okay and I trust my breathing will improve with that exercise. I am trying to prepare for the stress test December 6 in Lynwood, WA. Thanks for praying. My son is here and I always appreciate his being here when he can.

TRIPLE REGIME

In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
1 John 4:10

The depths of God's love we can't comprehend, we just read it and accept it as fact,
We do this by faith knowing full well what's here: from His love we cannot distract.
His love sent His Son to save us from sin and prepare us for our home up above,
And all this was done through His sacrifice great and sealed by His blood with love. (RP)

Three things changed my routine after visiting the specialists at Virginia Mason Hospital in Seattle.

1. Walking. Margie & I walked a mile a day for years. In Margie's later years, she feared I would fall if I walked alone, so I stopped. Now I resume and started yesterday.

2.Taking the blood pressure medication. As I said before, this is the first prescription medication this old man has ever taken.

3. Liquid diet. Because the mass on my thyroid is pushing all the "pipes" out of kilter, they strongly suggested I go liquid. Before, I was choking severely, causing my throat to be sore.  I must be careful.

Any suggestions?  Did you know you can click on the "comment" link below, and send me a message anytime. If you care to put your name in the sentence, that helps me to know who sent it. Thanks so much for praying.

WILL UPDATE

1 Peter 3:8 Finally, all of you be of one mind, having compassion for one another; love as brothers, be tenderhearted, be courteous.

What wonderful counsel is given us, in these words by Peter today,
So practical and plain and easily understood, as we walk along the way.
No one is exempt for ALL should be of one mind,
And if obeyed it is clear all who do will be kind.
Let compassion, tenderheartedness and love, rule as you do your work,
And the end result will be peace for you and your duty you will not shirk. (RP)

Yesterday I had my will updated. Several things needed to be changed now that Margie is no longer with us. I want all in order before surgery. I stopped by the new Christian book store in Lynden on way home, and also Safeway. The rest of the day I mostly worked on Friday Bible class lesson. Last night for fellowship, we had pastor Kiyle Decker and his family. They leave today for Eureka, CA.  Thank you for your prayers.

WHERE DO I START?

For I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content.  Philip.1:11

It’s hard to learn this lesson, Lord for we who are so weak,
But give us faith & courage, Your will to always seek.(RP)

We arrived at Virginia Mason in time for our scheduled appointments. The first surgeon explained how things were in my throat. NOT GOOD. The mass, growth goiter, or whatever you desire to call it, is pushing against wind pipe, esophagus, etc, etc. He thought it best to wait until the New Year to do surgery, but I must have it done. The next surgeon's nurse found an irregularity in my heart and ordered an EKG. After that I was sent to a cardiologist. She, Dr. Harper put me on blood pressure medicine and ordered a stress test, etc., in December. SO, for the first time in my 86-1/2 plus years, I am on prescription medication. So to say I am not taking prescription medication ended yesterday. I am not worried, upset or wringing my hands over these things. God allowed me to be healthy to care for Margie. Now that she is gone, it's my turn to face these issues. I take them cheerfully from the Lord. Thanks for praying. We were able to witness Jesus Christ to those who cared for me yesterday. It was rewarding.

DR. APPOINTMENTS AT VIRGINIA MASON

Matthew 6:33  But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you

To have the best in life  we better do things God's way,
Just listen to His Word and do what He would say.
Seeking Him and all He has for us we will win,
And He’ll give us what we should have and that's the way to begin.(RP)

This morning I drive to Rawlie's house and he will be my driver to Virginia Mason Hospital in Seattle.  At 12:15 I meet first with Dr. Bayles, head and throat specialist. At 1:30 another consultation with Dr. Kuppusamy, thoracic surgeon.  I have no idea how long this will take, but when it is over, Rawlie will drive me to his house, and I will drive from there to my place in Ferndale. All this is preceded by the words: "The Lord willing". Please pray for wisdom for the doctors and for my trip. High winds are in the forecast. Yesterday they were clocked around here at 60 mph.  Thanks for praying.

SUNDAY HAPPENINGS

And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.Heb 4:13

God does not play hide and seek nor does He jest for fun,
We are exposed to His holy gaze and He will judge each one.
Our ways our open wide to Him and we are accountable to Him,
And any one outside of Christ, hope for the future is dim.(RP)

Rawlie was with me several days last week and I deeply appreciated his help. We had coffee before Sunday School, then he headed for home. We listened to our pastoral candidate Liyle Decker in Sunday School, morning & evening services. It was a great time to get acquainted with him and his family. Today I do more red tape stuff, preparing for tomorrow's appointments, and matters relating to Margie's legal things. Thanks for praying.

PASTORAL CANDIDATE

1 Peter 2:9 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;

Believers in Christ have a job to do, God's Word spells it out for us,
To Him we are special and He tell us so in this verse we are about to discuss.
To be chosen, royal, holy and special is more than we can take,
And to think He called us from darkness to Him, why would we now forsake.
So now we proclaim Him to all who will hear, this wonderful message of light,
And urge them to surrender their souls to His care, acknowledging his power and might. (RP)

Lasts night and until Wednesday night, our church is hosting Pastor Kiyle Decker, his wife Anissa, and their children to our church. Last night a potluck meal was enjoyed by all who attended, followed by a get-acquainted time. It was a wonderful time together, and we look forward to more this morning and the next few days. Yesterday I continued working on our book, and was able to get 20 more chapters printed. Thanks so much for praying.

SHEPHERDS BOOK

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.Philippians 4:6-7

Worry is a common ill, that seems to get us all,
And Paul here gives some help for us so that we will never fall.
Prayer is the cure for worry we know and what a joy to know
The peace and a guarded heart and mind- what more could He bestow.
So Christian, give your worries to Him with prayer and a thankful heart,

And you will experience His blessings galore and a peace that will not depart.(RP)

The first priority of the day was to get my hearing aid devices fixed. One had gone dead. That trip to the audiologist and back took 2 hours of the day. After that I dedicated the rest of the day to our book. I was able to print 80 chapters of the book to send to our friend Laurel Hicks, who is editing them.It was a tearful but happy time as I realized Margie had done all the original research, finding topics for me to make into stories and include in the book. In the mail I received the packet from Virgina Mason clinic, so today I will be filling out the forms they request before our first interview Tuesday. Thanks so much for praying.

HOW DID IT GO?

John 3:36  "He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him."

To believe in Jesus is a command from God, and the benefit is great,
Eternal life is for those who obey,so it 's very wise not to wait.
Those who disobey God's command experience His wrath upon them,

They will never see life eternal and the future for them is dim. (RP)

I told you yesterday I was having the biopsy. Rawlie came from his workplace, and drove me to Mt. Baker Imaging.  Rawlie went in with me when I was called. The technician prepared me and the process began. Using at different times, three different sized transducers, she scanned my neck area. Rawlie was amazed at the size of the growth. When Dr. Carpenter came in the biopsy began. Using 8 inch needles, they entered the precise area, guided by ultra sound signals to take samples of the mass for lab work. Rawlie watched on the screen as the needles were inserted to their destination spot. In an hour and a half the process was over. Rawlie drove me home. I was so thankful he was here to help me. My Brazilian friend spoke to me this week and promised that his prayer group of 500 people would be praying for this procedure. This along with at least another 500 who know about it, makes a huge number. I told the doctor and technician, that 1,000 people were praying at that moment for what they were doing. Pray that our witness to them will bear results. Thanks so much for praying.

ULTRA SOUND BIOPSY

But the LORD said to Samuel, "Do not look at his appearance or at the height of his stature, because I have refused him. For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart." 1 Samuel 16:7

We think we know the ways of men but fooled we may soon be,
For they are not what make a man; there's more than you can see.
God thankfully looks on hearts to judge and sees what we cannot,
And knows the inward thoughts of all and knows man's every thought.
So cheer up brother and sister, there's more to life than the seen,
God knows all from the beginning so keep your lives pure and clean.(RP)

My son Rawlie is leaving his work in Everett, WA, and will come to Ferndale. He will take me to the 1:40 pm appointment at Mt. Baker Imaging. There they will do the ultra sound biopsy. Virginia Mason Hospital called me yesterday, giving the names of the two surgeons who will do my surgery. Both have to be involved at the same time. I see each of them November 14. One specializes in head and throat, the other in thoracic surgery. Thanks so much for praying as I prepare for this day. Surgery date has not been assigned yet.

WAITING FOR APPOINTMENT

Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a steadfast spirit within me.  Psa 51:10

God wants clean hearts in all of us and urges us to seek,
Clean vessels He desires as we pray and work and speak.
With our spirits in deep devotion may they always steadfast be,

Renewed by the Holy Spirit in the work he's set out for me.(RP)

Things are moving quickly. Last night I received a call from Virginia Mason Hospital (or clinic, whatever they call it), advising me that I will have to have two surgeons during surgery. One will take care of the throat area, and the other the chest area under the rib cage. The mass has to be removed. I sense they want to do it as quickly as possible. My son will drive me there. This morning they will call with the appointment time. Thanks so much for praying. I am mostly concerned with the injection they give to "put you out". The after effects of this in adults can lead to dementia, and I certainly would like to continue being able to serve the Lord. I appreciate your prayer about this. Thank you.

KEEP AT IT

And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses.  Mark 11:25

God  deals with things that come in our lives,
Resolve your strife now before trouble arrives.
Forgive your friend, and God works in you,

Forgiving your sin and making things new.(RP)

I am learning that I just have to keep at it. There seems to be a never ending amount of things that must be taken care of after Margie's passing. This is not a complaint. I am glad I am able to do it. The only urgency is because of my upcoming surgery. At this point, I do not know when that will be. But I want to be ready when it is set. Rawlie had to return home yesterday from his work because he came down with flu-like symptoms. His daughter was sick before this. I was happy to do quite a bit of texting yesterday with my brother in Alaska. Thanks to each of you for praying. I appreciate it greatly.

SUNDAY AT CHURCH

Oh what a blessing contained in these words written so long ago,
To read that our Lord is thinking of us is something we need to know.I
His desire for us is peace indeed and for sure no evil for us,a
He desires a future filled with hope and that certainly is a plus.
He exhorts us to call upon Him in prayer and He promises a listening ear,

And all who truly call upon Him, yes, He will gladly hear. (RP)

I taught the Sunday School class and we almost finished chapter 10.  The morning service was a blessing with Rob Robbins preaching on Joseph. After church Jim Hively invited me to join him and his boys for lunch at a local restaurant.  We had a good time of fellowship along with the delicious sandwich.  Later at home, I went through the email and organized things I need to do today and the rest of the week.  There are many things to care for after Margie's passing, and I am trying to get them taken care of as soon as possible. With my upcoming surgery, I will be unable to care for many of these things for quite awhile. Thanks so much for praying.

FAMILY SUPPORT

1 Peter 5:6-7 Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.

Humble Christians are God's desire for every one of us,
For all who follow His command for them it is a plus.
He exalts each one who humbly walks this road,

As you cast your care on Him, He will gladly take your load. (RP)

It is incredibly helpful to have family with me during these times of adjustment. I am so thankful for each of them. Rawlie and Gina have been my stabilizing help, along with the folks from church. Rawlie was with me when we talked to the specialist about the resultls of the CT scan, etc. Now that I face surgery, it is so comforting to have their help. Yesterday was a busy day, writing thank you notes to those who gave memorial gifts. Rawlie and I checked to see if the headstone was still there. They will remove it soon to inscribe Margie's information on it. Thanks so much for praying.

PAPER WORK

And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.Romans 8:28

In this world we sometimes wonder how God works His plan for us,
But His Word so plainly tells us that for His children it's always a plus.
Each day all things work smoothly in His master plan ordained,

He purposed this day's schedule and by His power is sustained. (RP)

It was nice being able to attend the Bible study yesterday morning. Before going there, I had opportunity to try out the new snow blower my brother Ernie gave me. It worked pretty well, but our kind neighbor, Paul Vargas came right over and completed the project. How nice of him! The snow kept quite a few from attending the Bible class. I spent the rest of the day on paper work, getting Rawlie on some of our accounts. I also marveled at the wonderful gifts given in Margie's name at her memorial. I am also getting different mailings to Margie's name cancelled. There never is a lack of things to take care of. Thank you for your prayer support.

SPEEDY

God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.  John 4:24

I'm sure most say that to worship, is certainly done THIS way,
Each has his own idea and is sure that it's okay,
But here the truth is given, Holy Spirit inspired that's sure,

We must worship in spirit and truth, anything else is obscure.(RP)

Everything has happened so quickly.  The specialist was good. He could not find the growth in his exam of my throat as he felt it. He said the cat scan shows it is lower down, still pushing against trachea and esophagus. Next Thursday I will have an ultrasound biopsy to determine if the mass is benign or otherwise. No matter, the mass must be removed. This will mean surgery at the University of Washington or Virginia Mason Clinic in Seattle. It will be invasive surgery like heart patients when they break through the rib cage to excise the mass. Dr. Stackhouse said if it were his dad in my position, he would have this surgery done. We are pleased and rest in Him. I will announce when surgery is when I know it.  Dr. examined my throat with a special scope and said the voice box is okay. I am glad, because I use it in speaking all the time. But my voice is husky and not as strong as before. Thank you all for praying.

HEALTH CONCERN

To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven... Eccl 3:1

Impatiently we fuss around and wonder what is next,
Then God steps in and moves us and reveals what is complex.
With Him there are no surprises, the timing is always right,

So trust the Lord completely and the end will be sheer delight. (RP)

On the way to church last night, Dr. Chang called me. I pulled over to the side of the road and he explained that the Cat-Scan revealed a mass on my thyroid that was pushing against the trachea and esophagus. He wanted me to call my doctor today, arrange the referral for a E.N.& T. specialist as soon as possible.  So when the doctor is in, I will take care of this. Thanks so much for praying.

CAT-SCAN AND OTHER THINGS

But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.  Matthew 6:6

Help me find the secret place Where I may pray to You,And surely find your blessings Which I know will not be few.(RP)

Yesterday I went first for the scan. Then I went across the street to the hospital where I had breakfast. Then I visited a lady from our church in the hospital. I took advantage of that trip to drop into the nurses station of the nurses who cared for Margie to thank them for their services.I picked up the death certificates at the mortuary, and went to Social Security to stop Margie's benefit payment. I did quite a few other things also and cancelled her health and drug plan. It was a full and busy day, but not over yet. I went in the evening to our church parking lot where the Parking Lot Party was going on. There was a good attendance, and I was able to share Jesus with some of the visitors. Thanks for praying.
