Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

God's thoughts of us are warm today, as He thinks of you and me.
He thinks no evil, but only peace, as He gives this sweet decree.
He has a plan for each of us and will move us gently along.
And by His grace our hope is sure because to Him we belong.  (RP)

We don't THINK about this very often, I am sure. Just imagine what God is thinking about us. Think this one over, and spend the day rejoicing in the fact our heavenly Father watches over us.  Thanks for praying.

And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.
Galatians 6:9

We are prone at times to call it quits and forget what we had planned.
But I am sure there's more to this, it seems we don't fully understand.
We get tired, but not OF the work; our bodies and minds feel the grind.
But thank God we all shall reap if we do not lose heart and get behind.
Don't lose heart, fellow Christian; stand tall in the battle we must fight.  (RP)

If you are at peace about your present condition, and if you are serving the Lord in your own God-given way, please do not give up. His Word assures us that we will win. Thanks for praying.

Matthew 6:33-34
But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

Some don't figure out how they can make it from day to day.
They fume and fret and claim it's because they get little pay.
God has a better way for Christians to get themselves along.
Just read His word and learn quickly how to be very strong.
When you do things God's way, things will be added to you.
And you will rejoice in the wonderful things God will do.
Remember please that tomorrow is not our worry at all.
Trust God for your need today, and for Jesus stand tall.  (RP)

The things we are seeking in life, reveal much about who we are. Check what you are seeking, against today's verse, and see where you stand.
It is a good test for us all. Thanks for praying.

I am the Lord, who heals you.  Exodus 15:26

Medicine, hospitals doctors and nurses, are here to help us all.
And thank God for them as they serve mankind, whether the great or small.
God tells us plainly in His Word about healing, and we should hear.
He's our Healer and we thank Him for this, as He takes away our fear. (RP)

Whether by medicine or God's special intervention, He is the one who heals. He invented healing, and knows best for you and me. Rest in Him today, and leave the results to our loving heavenly Father. Thanks for praying.

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Isaiah 41:10

We all have fears of various kinds; this word from God brings hope.
He strengthens and hold us, and with each problem we can cope.
How wonderful to have His righteous right hand to help along the way.
We need not dismay nor be afraid, because our Lord's love is on display. (RP)

In our verse today, I see so many precious promises. Read the verse slowly, and allow the words to bless you, as you see how much God does for us.  Thanks for praying.

Psalm 119:133 Direct my steps by Your word, And let no iniquity have dominion over me.

Wise praying is the mark of God's children, so why not demonstrate?
Always stay fresh in this noble deed; never in this duty be late.
God leads us by his infallible Word; what comfort this is for me,
He controls our lives,so from every sin and shame we should flee.  (RP)

From me to you. Would you please help me get the word out about my new book, Miracle Miles (For God's special people)?  I am receiving checks for it, and have already mailed them all. They are all autographed. The online price is higher than mine, so send $23.00 to Ralph Poulson, P.O. Box 1884, Ferndale, WA 98248, and your book will be on its way. Thanks for helping and praying.

Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen. Ephesians 3:20-21

It is so easy to limit God with our earthly, carnal mind.
Just open the Bible, and rich treasures you will find.
God can do whatever He wills in our lives today, you see.
Ask Him for the things He wants for you;make this your plea.
God's power works within us, to accomplish His sovereign will.
And those who seek it honestly, your prayer He will fulfill.
We look around us daily, thanking God for answered prayer.
And give Him all the glory for our burdens which He will bear.  (RP)

Thank you dear friends for praying about the nutrient for my tube feeding. Jim Hively brought me two packages of the product that his sister uses for her son. Then the next day he brought 8 more. This took care of me until the UPS delivered yesterday afternoon the regular monthly supply.  God provides in amazing ways.  Thanks so much for praying.

Matthew 6:24 No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.

No one can serve two masters; it tells us in this verse,
No one can miss the teaching because it is very terse.
Some have as their master, money; if so, it is your lord,
The end of their story is sad, so this way you cannot afford.
Only God should be your Master; let Him now have control.
And daily bring to Him you burdens, and on Him let them roll. (RP)

Only YOU can make this decision. Who and what will be your master. Think it over, and be determined to make the Lord master in your life. Thanks for praying.

Flee from the devil.
Ephesians 4:27

Every time a Christian sins, he gives the devil first place.
And this in turn is like giving the old devil a hearty embrace.
Please be careful how you live your life; let Jesus rule today.
Lean heavily on Him in all you do, and read His word and pray.
Commit your life entirely to Him, and lean solely on His arm.
He will see you through rough places and protect from harm.  (RP)

Prayer request:  My nutrient from CORAM was delayed because the referral expired from the insurance company that pays for most of it. I have done all that's necessary to get reinstated, but everything takes time. I have enough until 8 tonight, then my "food" runs out. Thanks for praying.

Ephesians 4:32 And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.

The Bible is filled with practical ways God expects us to treat others on earth.
For He values each life and gives directions to us showing how much a person is worth.
Kindness is key we are told in this verse, and being tender in heart He expects.
When done in the spirit of Christ, dear friend, His love to others reflects.
Forgiveness in Christ is a blessing indeed and we should tell others this news.
Urge them to receive Christ for eternal life, and never His forgiveness refuse. (RP)

This two-way road of tenderheartedness and forgiveness is indeed a practical one. May we today reach out to others with His tenderness and be ready to forgive. Thanks for praying.

But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble. Matthew 6: 33.34

What a recourse we have in our faith, as we seek first God's kingdom each day.
The things God wants us to have will be given us along the way.
Never worry about things we don't have, for God knows what's best for us.
So don't get up tight and be frantic with life, and spend all your time in a fuss.
Each day is filled with trouble enough, so just trust God to supply your need.Trusting Him every day, and resting in Him, is certainly a blessing indeed.  (RP)

Your priorities govern how you live each day. Try reading the Bible verse slowly, and you will soon learn that putting the Lord first in your day, pays big dividends in so many ways, you will be surprised. Thanks for praying.

Thanks be unto God for His unspeakable gift.  II Corinthians 9:15

We thank God everyday for blessings He bestows.
There are so many, who can count them, who really knows?
A gift each Christmas we'll not forget, is God's greatest one to us.
The unspeakable gift called Jesus, is for each of us a great plus. (RP)

In our busy lives, it is easy to forget our gift.  Jesus is God's love-gift to us. Are we thankful for all we have in Him? Let us pause and thank Him right now. Thanks for praying.

And they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus." Acts 4:13

Help me to live for You today in such a special way,
That others will know without a doubt in my life He is on display. (R.P.)

Whether we like it or not, people see us, hear us, and size us up. They know without a doubt where we stand. I pray that today as people look, they will realize we have been with Jesus. Thanks for praying.

Psalm 143:10 Teach me to do Your will, For You are my God; Your Spirit is good. Lead me in the land of uprightness.

I hope you are willing to be taught, because God wants it this way.
Ask Him to teach you to do His will, and begin this very day.
He is willing to do this, and we know His way is always the best.
So making this decision is great, and we know we will be blessed.
Ask God to lead you always in His perfect place of peace.
And the benefits will follow and your joys and peace increase. (RP)

My daily question should be: "Am I walking in God's will today?" It is a simple question with profound results. The dividends it pays, are beyond our expectations, and the personal satisfaction is immeasurable. Thanks for praying.

When she heard about Jesus, she came behind Him in the crowd and touched His garment. For she said, If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well.Immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of the affliction. Mark 5:27-29

The faith of this lady is a lesson to all
And is for those who will listen, whether great or small.
She longed to touch Him and be made whole.
And we know by this story Jesus was in control.
And by her faith the soul who suffered so much,
Was instantly healed when she decided her Savior to touch. (RP)

What a lesson in faith these verses teach us today. May we learn to come to Him with our needs and find His healing for the issues we  are facing today. Thanks for praying.

Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, O LORD, my strength and my Redeemer.Psalm 19:14

We know from this verse that the words of our mouth really come from the heart.
So help me Lord as I mediate from your Word never depart.
You are our strength and Redeemer, and may our prayer be acceptable to You,
As we stay in close communion, and always Your will pursue. (RP)

The meditation of our hearts comes first, then the words we speak will be flavored by how much time we are in communion with Him. Thanks for praying

Ephesians 6: 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil

Believers are given the armor of God in order to stand our foe.
This weapon is greater than anything else that we can have below.
Each piece is given for a purpose, and when worn will do its work.
To ward off the devil and his plans, so please do not this duty shirk.
Read about this armor in Ephesians 6 and you will be greatly blessed.
By taking each piece and wearing it right, for you this is the best.
Above all else pray much, knowing this brings us the power of God.
And never forget your shoes because with peace your feet are shod.  (RP)

Each day we choose what we will wear. Today, please take time to ponder the verse, and be wise in your appearance. Thanks for praying.

And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love. 1 Cor 13:13

Of all the things that can be named, there is one that tops them all,
And God's Word tells us in words clear and plain, that love is the one that stands tall.
Love is the greatest and should be practiced by us, everywhere we go,
So obediently follow the command of the Lord and never be dragging or slow.
The fruit of the Spirit is love, and communion with Christ supreme,
We will follow His Word and onward go and love will be our theme. (RP)

Luke 12:24-25
Consider the ravens, for they neither sow nor reap, which have neither storehouse nor barn; and God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds? And which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?

God feeds the birds their daily lot, and cares for them so much.
And as he cares for them each day, they feel his tender touch.
But as I see His tender care of all the creatures here.
I have to realize in my heart, I see His plan is clear.
He values us even more than the birds, and we can rejoice in this.
For His love is great indeed, beyond anything that exists.
The lesson for us is right here my friend; let us not ever forget.
Worrying never advances our cause; His care is the best thing yet.(RP)

Easier said than done. Don't worry. Maybe today we can start to get a handle on this age-old problem of worry. Let go, and let God should be our goal. How wonderfully He can resolve our issues. Just give Him a chance. Thanks for praying.

Ephesians 5:17
Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is.

We go through life knowing not what to do,but God gives His answer plain.
Read and study God's Word, and pray, and  his will you will soon ascertain.
We are unwise if we stay with our doubts, when in fact His will can be known.
So join the crowd that is seeking God's will and never again be alone.  (RP)

Is Saturday a "catch up" day? For some it is. But in this pursuit, let us not forget to seek God's will
in everything we do. Thanks for praying.

Ecclesiastes 8:12 Though a sinner does evil a hundred times, and his days are prolonged, yet I surely know that it will be well with those who fear God, who fear before Him.

We are sinners and cannot deny this fact; the Bible tells us so.
Men usually live a very long time, but God has blessings to bestow.
The person who fears the Lord, by trusting his life to His name.
Making the right choice to follow the Lord, he never will be the same.(RP)

If you have charted your course, by trusting Jesus all the way, you have nothing to lose. Let us resolve to put Him first TODAY, in all we do. Thanks for praying.

How easily words flow out of our mouths. Let us be careful today in all we say, that the Lord will be glorified by our speech and actions.
And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you. Ephesians 4:32
What wonderful counsel is given us here, to follow every day.
Kindness in action is God's word to us, as we walk in His way.
Tenderness is possible only in Him; the Holy Spirit makes it so.
And forgiveness is the magic that if followed makes us grow.
God has forgive each of His children, call us to do the same.
And when we follow these powerful rules, we truly exalt His name. (RP)

Zechariah 4:6 So he answered and said to me: "This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: 'Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,' Says the Lord of hosts.

We cannot brag of many things, God gives us what we are.
We could not do a thing, and for sure we would not go far.
The Lord of hosts says it right; it's by His Spirit we are led.
So submit to Him and let Him have control; you will get ahead.  (RP)

I am so glad there is more power available to us than we possess. How wonderful to go throughout this day with His power in our lives. I trust we will all claim this as we move about today. Thanks for praying.

The name of the LORD is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe.Proverbs 18:10

The name of the Lord means much to us, He is so strong and sure.
In Him is all the believer needs and a place so very secure.
When troubles arise and one needs help, come to God right now.
He will encourage and give you hope; and only His way allow.
Safety in Him is the promise to us; anything else will not do.
Stay with Him and trust always, He will see you through. (RP)

Lord willing, I will be at the church during most of the morning hours this week. I will do my studying there, in case my help is needed. Thanks for praying.

1 Samuel 2:3 Talk no more so very proudly; Let no arrogance come from your mouth, For the Lord is the God of knowledge; And by Him actions are weighed.

Step onto God's scale right now;He will weigh you right.
His verdict will assess you, and bring all things to light,
He knows what you talk, and how you walk, every day.
And His verdict will alarm you, as you go on your way.
Our Lord knows our thoughts as we read this right now.
Please come quickly to Him, and at His feet humbly bow.  (RP)

May this Scripture verse be embedded in our thoughts today, as we go about our way.  I am so thankful for Rawlie, who took me to church yesterday. He wanted to hear me preach. What a joy to proclaim God's word. Thanks for praying.

Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching.2 Tim 4:2
God's command is strong and straight in the things He would have us do.
We better take heed to His words, and diligently learn to pursue.
When the Word is preached by faithful ones, and taught in a meaningful way,
Many things take place in the hearers, we're told, so it behooves us to readily obey.
Be ready is the word, and longsuffering is required, of those who faithfully preach,
They will receive very much in reward, and look at how many they reach.  (RP)

Pastor Kiyle Decker is preaching and teaching the Word in Togo today. Pastor Dave Lunsford is doing likewise, and we are praying for their ministries there. What a privilege it is.  I am blessed to be asked to preach here at First Baptist in Ferndale. I am also blessed because my son, Rawlie, is here. He wanted to hear me. I am grateful. Thanks for praying.

But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your
Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.
Matthew 6:6

Help me find the secret place
Where I may pray to You,
And surely find your blessings
Which I know will not be few.  (RP)

I pray that today we may all learn the real value of personal prayer. There is so much to experience. Let us slip into God's school of prayer, His Word, and learn as much as we can. Thanks for praying.

Acts 10:43 To Him all the prophets witness that, through His name, whoever believes in Him will receive remission of sins.

All the Word witnesses the riches of God, by His promised remission of sins,
This wonderful forgiveness is explained in God's Word, and with faith it all begins. (RP)

One year ago today I was operated on for a goiter growing on my left thyroid. It was down in my chest area, and was as big as my heart.  God graciously brought me through that.  In the process however, I lost my voice and the ability to swallow without aspirating. Through the doctor and our loving Lord, my voice was restored. The swallowing difficulty is still with me, but wonderfully  helped with a stomach peg-tube by which I administer nutrients via a syringe.  God is good and my health is too, for which I praise Him.Thanks for praying.

But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty  1 Cor 1:27

The world thinks we're foolish as onward we go,
But the truth of the matter is, we're really not slow.
The wise in their thinking are the ones who lose,
And God keeps on helping them the wise to confuse,
The mighty may think they are winners indeed,
But God helps the weak ones in all that they need.  (RP)

I told pastor Decker before he left for his ministry trip to Togo, Africa, that I would come to the church in the morning hours, when possible. I can do my work there on my computer. I want to be there in case my help is needed by the secretary, or others who may come to the church. Please pray for Pastor and Mrs Decker and Pastor Dave Lunsford as they minister in Togo the next few days. Thanks for praying.

Psalm 118:24
This is the day the LORD has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it.

The New Year starts this very day and what a day it is,
God made it for us and we are glad, because it's totally His.
Let us rejoice in what God has made, and smile the whole day through,
And dedicate ourselves to Him again and begin a year that's brand new. (RP)

Here we are in the New Year.  Is it a fresh start for you? Are we willing to give this year to the Lord, and allow HIM to direct our steps? I pray it will be so. Determine to read the Bible, pray, and tell others of your faith in Jesus Christ. What a year it will be, if we can fulfill these goals. Thanks for praying.
