We are glad

VERSE FOR THE DAY

Proverbs 3:13-14
Happy is the man who finds wisdom,And the man who gains understanding; For her proceeds are better than the profits of silver,And her gain than fine gold.

God promises happiness, to those who wisdom seek,
And he will give it to all, whether they are strong or weak.
When God gives understanding it's because it has been sought,
And those who gladly find it, have something better than they thought.
God's wisdom and understanding, are more precious than silver or gold,
Those who possess such treasures, are blessed more than has ever been told.
(RP)

We are so glad Margie had a better night.  Her sleep problems seem to be with her most the time.  When she gets a good night, it is a blessing for sure.  Today I will be returning a coffee maker that does not make good coffee.  And that is not the problem of the operator but due to faulty functioning of the machine. My brother dropped by for a snack in the evening and we visited and watched a news program. Margie cleaned out the refrigerator yesterday - a much needed job, and it looks nice. We have several friends who are at the end of their life's journey, so our prayer list grows. Thank YOU for remembering us in your prayers.

Great day

VERSE FOR THE DAY

Psalm 34:4
I sought the LORD, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears.

Oh the joy of seeking the Lord for our problems day by day,
Our needs and fears and many concerns are certainly on display.
When we pray, an answer we'll get, because that's the way it's done,
When He delivers us from secret fears, we know the battle is won
(RP)

We are so happy Margie is rested after a good night's rest.  Yesterday we came home after Sunday School.  She was too tired, because of little sleep Saturday night.  Today is a beautiful day and we are bck on track with a full plate of work for the day.  We trust you all have a good day.  Thanks for praying.

Not as good

VERSE FOR THE DAY

1 Corinthians 6:20 For you were bought at a price;
therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's.

The riches we have in Jesus are more than words can tell,
The price of our salvation is great, and nothing can excel.
He wants us to glorify Him, in our body and spirit each day,
And always remember what He does for us, all along the way.
(RP)

We enjoyed our day yesterday with our family.  My brother came by for a bit to eat after work and stayed to visit while Rawlie and Monique were here. Unfortunately she did not have a good night. She didn't get to sleep until quite late so she is pretty tired this morning.  The same thing happened Thursday night.  We hope that trend stops soon. Thank you for praying for us.

Wonderful

VERSE FOR THE DAY

Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.

We sometimes stop and ask God what we should do,
He takes pleasure in this, because for some this is new.
When we trust in Him, and stop trying to figure things out,
We lay our concerns on Him without a worry or a doubt.
Learning to recognize Him in every thing we do,
Is sure proof that our loving Lord will see us through.
When God directs our path, we are blessed in many ways,
He takes pleasure always when the humblest Christian prays
(RP)

After Margie's sleepless night Thursday, we are thankful she had such a wonderful night last night.  After the Bible class, she slept for over an hour and made it through the rest of the day ok.  My brother was here for a bite to eat in the early evening.  We always enjoy him being here. Margie's brother--n-law Jim rallied and showed some improvement in his serioius illness.  We pray the report today will be good also.  We thank you sincerely for your prayers.

Positive and negative

VERSE FOR THE DAY

Isaiah 41:10
Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.'

God tells us not to fear, because we fear so much,
He comes to us with soothing words and tender touch.
We get discouraged many times so He comes to give us hope,
And the assurance of His presence so that daily we can cope.
We are so weak and need His help, for strength along the way,
And this is what he promises, every single day.
How wonderful to have the help from our holy God above,
Holding our hand in His, upheld by His great love.
(RP)

Although Margie did not have a good night. That's the negative. She had a wonderful day yesterday. That is the positive. She went to Mt. Vernon to the Immanuel Baptist Church where a group of ladies meet to do quilting.  Kathy Stewart from our church who quilts enjoyed the last time they visited there, and wanted to return.  Our good friend Geraldine Thomason was the hostess and Margie and Kathy had a wonderful time.   Margie does not quilt but does appreciate seeing and watching those who do.  She returned for our afternoon prayer meeting at church and in the evening my brother Harold took us to a restaurant in Burlington for a wonderful meal with our son and his family.  So it was a big day.  Margie's brother-in-law Jim, still remains in critical condition in the ICU at the hospital and many are praying for him.  Thank YOU for your part in intercession.

Good report

VERSE FOR THE DAY

Psalms 33:12  Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, the people he chose for his inheritance.

Nations are blessed when God is their Lord, this is a joyful thought,
Each member of this nation, is someone whom God sought.
We are chosen by God, and His inheritance we are,
We rejoice in this great fact and for us it's the best thing by far.
(RP)

We rejoice in the good report from the retina specialist.  Margie did well in reading the charts and the photos of her eye did not alarm the doctor about anything more serious.  He gave another injection in the eye and Margie will have things checked in one month.  We thank you for praying about this.  It has weighed heavily on Margie and she was greatly relieved by the visit to the specialist.  Thanks so much for praying.  We appreciate it.

Important day

VERSE FOR THE DAY

Psalm 34:1
I will bless the LORD at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.
We spend so much time on "me" and forget to thank the Lord.
We better forget ourselves and try something unexplored.
The Lord deserves our thanks so let's learn to practice it,
Begin right now, and to the Lord your thanks transmit.
When you learn to praise the Lord for all He's done for you,
You'll learn that it happens continually and is certainly fun to pursue.
(RP)

This morning Margie sees the retina specialist.  We pray the tests will show an improvement in the blood clot on her eye.  But she is prepared for whatever the Lord sends her way.  We appreciate your prayers for her. We will update you tomorrow on this.  Thanks for praying.

Eye doctor

VERSE FOR THE DAY

Colossians 3:2
Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.

We're all wrapped up in things down here; God wants us to lift our eyes.
Looking above brings His blessing, and a very delightful surprise. With a mind-set on God and His will, we can make our way each day,
And when we do things God's way, you can be sure all will be okay.(RP)

Margie saw her regular eye doctor yesterday and said that reading the prescribed items on the screen was not as easy as before. She was concerned about this but on the other hand it was a different operator conducting the test and it was definitely done in a manner she was not accustomed to.  She goes to the retina specialist on Wednesday and we are praying the test will indicate a diminished blood clot.  Margie is prepared for whatever comes but one's eyesight is mighty critical.  We just pray that tomorrow's visit will be more encouraging for her.  In the meantime, I am teaching her how to use the voice command email and she sent off her first one last night.  By degrees she will get better at it and will not have to type the letters.  My brother Harold gave her this wonderful gift of an iPad.  How grateful we are for it.  Thanks so much for praying.

Sunny day

VERSE FOR THE DAY

Commit your works to the LORD,And your thoughts will be established.
Proverbs 16:3

Clear thinking is a desired thing that some don't seem to possess,
If only they would listen to God, they would never have to guess.
When your work is ordered and done for the Lord, mighty things take place,
Your thoughts will take on new meaning, and establish and keep you on pace.
(RP)

The weatherman claims we will have several sunny days. It matters not to us because when you are busy it's all okay.  We had a nice weekend with our son here for part of it and my brother also.  We enjoyed a good time at church on Sunday.  Today we will be at one of Margie's eye specialist and another on Wednesday.  We are hoping and praying her vision has not been lessened by the blood clot.  Each week we continue on our Bible Class lessons and the Brazil book.  We are making good progress on the latter, trying to get all completed by July.  Thank you so much for your prayers,

Family

VERSE FOR THE DAY

Matthew 12:37
For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.

Did you ever think that the words you speak are being heard by God?
He listens carefully to what we say, and not everything gets a nod.
Our words count much and mean so much and by them we'll be judged,
So please be careful and watch what you say, as on this path you trudge.
(RP)

Our son arrived yesterday and it was nice he could be here.  We invited my brother who is working on a project at the refinery in Ferndale, to join us for lunch.  I stuffed green peppers, Margie prepared the rest of the meal and we had a nice time.  Rawlie will be with us for the day then return to his home in Stanwood, WA.  Margie did some other baking for desserts when we entertain my brother from time to time in the afternoons when he comes by for a snack.  We are looking forward to worshiping in our church this morning.  Please keep up your prayers for Margies eyesight.  We both appreciate it greatly.

Not so good

VERSE OF THE DAY

Psalm 5:3
My voice You shall hear in the morning, O LORD; In the morning I will direct it to You, And I will look up.
Determined to speak to the Lord each day, the Psalmist wrote his vow,
And oh how special it was for him to declare just when and how.
He desired to pray in the morning, and start his day just right,
Doing it this way was routine which gave him perfect delight.
The focal point of his morning was God, as he looked to Him above,
And all through the day he was aware of one thing: his heavenly Father's love.
(RP)

My brother Harold was feeling much better yesterday for which we are thankful.  In the late afternoon, he invited us for a meal in town and it was special.  Margie's brother-in-law is in the hospital and not doing well at all.  Jim needs our prayers. I think because of this and other concerns, Margie did not have a good night last night.  She asked me to just let her sleep this morning.  That's what she is doing now as I type these lines.  At our Friday morning Bible class, the largest attendance yet, was present to study the book of Hebrews.  What a wonderful class it was.  Please continue praying for Margie's eye situation.  She has a regular appointment with the specialist Monday and two days later the retina specialist.  We are praying they will be able to determine the present condition of the blood clot issue in one eye.  Thanks so much for praying.

Emergency

VERSE FOR THE DAY

Isaiah 40:31
But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.
He gives strength for the waiting saint who will cast his care on Him,
And carry him along the way whether the road is bright or dim.
God specializes in renewal when our strength has reached its low,
And like eagles we'll soar high, above all trouble and haunting woe.
We'll run and not get tired when the path seems steep and rough,
When we do our work for Jesus, we won't faint because He's enough.
(RP)

My brother called yesterday morning with the news he was not feeling well.  The trip earlier to the doctor gave him wonderful relief, but the medication was no longer helping like it originally did.  I took him to the doctor and waited for him.  At home he got a bite to eat then went to the drugstore to wait for the prescriptions to be filled.  Later he sent a text that he had the medication and was in the hotel.  We hope and pray he had a good night.  We attended the afternoon prayer meetiang at our church which we always enjoy.  Today we look forward to the Bible Class.  We are studying Hebrews 7 at the present.  Even though difficult for some to understand the class is very patient with me and we have a great time.  We thank you for your prayers for Harold and also Margie, that her eyesight will stabilize.  Thanks so much.

Concern

VERSE FOR THE DAY

 Psalms 34:8
Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in him
Oh the joy to taste of the Lord, and savor His spiritual food,
It gives strength to my soul, with negative passions subdued.
If you take refuge in the Lord you have made the right choice,
You will be blessed indeed and in Him you can rejoice
(RP)

My brother is not feeling well and called his doctor and we are hoping this morning more medication will be ready for him at the drugstore. I will take it to him out at the refinery if it is ready. Margie had a good night. Yesterday I completed the preliminary work of putting all our Brazil book stories into one file, according to publisher standards.  Now we choose the graphics and a few more things to bring it to a conclusion.  It is very enjoyable work.  Thanks so much for praying.

Progress

VERSE FOR THE DAY

Proverbs 22:6
Train up a child in the way he should go,
And when he is old he will not depart from it.

Oh the joy of rearing children in the path that God designed,
And carefully guiding them in the way which they are inclined.
When parents pray for their children and guide them in this way,
What a blessed promise is given; they will not depart or stray.
(RP)

What a busy day yesterday, but delightful.  Margie worked cleaning the bathrooms and I was able to get 139 pages formatted for the Brazil book.  There is still much to do.  I got all the pictures ready for us to select the 50 to be used in the book.  It is amazing how much is involved in a book publishing deal.  Last night at a restaurant  my brother Harold took us to, we met one of our former church secretary's and her husband, the associate pastor at the time I was pastor at First Baptist Church.  When the waitress told us this couple, Ken and Julia Pollock had paid our meals, we were overwhelmed.  Julia had used Margie's wedding dress years ago at her wedding and they mentioned this to the waitresses and also paid our bills.  What a kind gesture.  It was much appreciated.  Thanks for praying for Margie and her eye condition.  We pray it is improving and appreciate your help in prayer.

Good night

VERSE FOR THE DAY

1 John 3:18
My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth.
It is so easy to say words, not meaning what we say,
God commands us to watch our words as we move about each day.
A word is a word and our tongue is what speaks, so please be careful my friend,
It's so much better to watch our mouths, and upon the Lord depend. He wants us to honestly deal with this, and the truth should control our deeds,So the person who allows God to direct his life, surely succeeds.
(RP)

We are grateful for a good night.  We were privileged also to have my brother stop by for a snack and fellowship in the late afternoon yesterday.  We will try more on the Brazil book today.  Margie is feeling better for which we are thankful.  Thanks so much for praying.

A good night

VERSE FOR THE DAY

1 John 1:8-10
If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.

The foolish say they sin not, they are deceived for sure,
Believers know the truth, and their thinking is mature.
Confessing your sins to God means He'll forgive you now,
With sins, cleansed and forgiven, at His feet you humbly bow.
Some say they don't sin; does this mean God lies?
Sadly it means men lie, and sins they are trying to disguise.
(RP)

Margie did not feel well yesterday so we were not able to attend church services.  The Comcast was our church as we viewed some good programs available on it.  Some of our family dropped by in the afternoon which was nice.  I was able to study ahead some for my Hebrews Bible study class.  This morning we go for an appointment to have Margie's c-pap machine adjusted for a better fit.My brother Harold is improving, healthwise, for which we are grateful. Please continue your prayers for him and we appreciate your intercession for Margie as always.

Not well

VERSE FOR THE DAY

Psalm 103:1
Bless the LORD, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name.

We need to thank the Lord much more, for what He's done for us,
Stop wasting time on worthless things and all the foolish fuss.
Cry to our great God, giving Him praise within your heart,
Bless the Lord dear ones, and to Him all your soul impart.
(RP)

Margie started feeling sick yesterday and the night before.  She made it through the night pretty well but is still not back to herself.
My brother Harold dropped by for a snack after a busy Saturday at the work place.  We will stay home today so she can get her strength back.  She has an important appointment tomorrow that we must try to make.  Thanks so much for praying.

Great day

VERSE FOR THE DAY

Mark 9:23
Jesus said to him, If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.

A man who wanted his son to be healed,
Had no success with the disciples, so to Jesus appealed
Jesus was willing to heal him if only he believed,
The man said he did, and healing the boy soon received.
(RP)

The Bible study went well yesterday and we even had three new ones who attended.  The room was comfortably filled.  Margie & I continue working on the Brazil book.  We are not letting up.  We know it has to be submitted by July so this is our priority. My brother Harold came by for a snack after work and it was nice to visit with him.  Please continue prayers for Margie's eye situation. Thank you.

Bible Study

VERSE FOR THE DAY

Psalms 118:24
This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.

There may be some who worry and fret about things that happen today,
But to all who are bothered and nervous about things, I have something to say.
Remember dear friend, God made this day, it is His every step of the way,
Why not thank Him, for making it, and all its beauty on display.
Learn to rejoice in what God has made and give Him glory for it all,
And you'll be the winner and benefit from it, no matter if your great or small.
(RP)

We look forward to the time at the Ferndale Activity Center this morning when we have the privilege of teaching the book of Hebrews to a fine group of seniors (and any others who want to attend).  I contacted the publisher for our Brazil book deal and I now have ample time to work on it to make the deadline for a Christmas
thrust.  We are thankful for that.  We had a good night last night and are happy for it.  My brother also dropped by to connect to our good Internet set-up so he could resolve an issue with his laptop.  It all got settled and he had a bite to eat while here.  He is feeling better but still needs medication.  Thanks so much for praying

Get it done

VERSE FOR THE DAY

2 Corinthians 6:17
Therefore come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, And I will receive you.

To be IN the world but not OF the world is what Christ commands today,
To do this one has to separate himself from worldly things, I say.
Touch not the unclean, and talk God's talk, in everything you do,
Strive to obey Him all your life, and your Master's will pursue.
What joy it is to hear Him say,I will receive you my child,
And realize through all of this, my Savior upon me has smiled.
(RP)

We have worked on the Brazil book for a long time.  It is all very enjoyable.  We realize now that it must be a new priority if we intend to get the process in motion for a December publication.  Even with this we may not get it done.  Please pray as we endeavor to comply with all the publisher guidelines (very detailed).  We had a pretty good night and look forward to the activities of the day.  May brother was much better yesterday after his scary episode on Tuesday.  Thanks for praying.

Hopeful

VERSE FOR THE DAY

Jeremiah 17:9
The heart is deceitful above all things,And desperately wicked;Who can know it?

The human heart hides sins galore, it's more than man can know,
Deceit and wickedness prevail, from their lives sins overflow.
There's only One who knows the heart, It is God who is in control,
And men can only find relief when their sins upon Jesus roll.

As I write this, Margie is still asleep. I hope she had a good night. We will know shortly.  Yesterday's events were "moving".  My brother called from his place of work, saying he was really sick and needed help.  The story is long but I will say, I got him to my doctor's office and thankfully received some relief.  He is in his hotel room doing much better.  Please pray for him on this very important mission he is on with the company.  And thanks as always for praying.

Getting closer

VERSE FOR THE DAY

Isaiah 45:22
Look to Me, and be saved, All you ends of the earth! For I am God, and there is no other.

Many saviors deceive earth dwellers, but God says there's only One,
Our heavenly Father is the Savior; look to Him and your battle's won.
He is calling all the earth, to hear His voice and receive His Son,
And we know that what He gives you is salvation that can't be outdone.
(RP)

The Brazil book project is getting closer to the end but there is much to do.  I enjoy it all but the company has strict guidelines that must be followed prior to publication.  Please pray with us that all will be done within the time limits.  Margie had a good night again and we are thankful.  Thanks so  much for your prayer support.

Plans

VERSE FOR THE DAY

Psalm 27:14
Wait on the Lord;Be of good courage,
And He shall strengthen your heart;Wait, I say, on the Lord!

Waiting is such a boring thing I hear some say just now,
Because you never dreamed it so that God would this, allow.
Many things move speedily, in this nervous world down here,
But wait a minute my dear friend, I have a word of cheer.
Waiting for God to work things out is the best thing you can do,
He gives courage, strength, and a happy heart, especially for you.
(RP)

After a good day yesterday and a good night of rest, we are off and sort of running with the activities of this day.  The Brazil book will take priority.  I am sure I must finish it shortly in order to get in on the Christmas promotion program.  So I will have to be plenty involved the next few days.  Margie is a tremendous help to me on this. Thanks so much for praying.

Sunday, April 7, 2013

Thank you

VERSE FOR THE DAY

1 Peter 3:10
For He who would love life And see good days,Let him refrain his tongue from evil,And his lips from speaking deceit.

Few desire bad days, so how do you get good days?
By inviting Jesus into your life, this is what really pays.
Speech that is wholesome reveals a heart that is right,
Keep it that way and you'll have a more peaceful night.
Don't ever use deceit in your dealings down here,
God will reward you, because your heart is sincere.(RP)

We thank you for your faithful prayers.  Margie had a good night. We know this is because folks are praying.  We had a good day yesterday.  My brother dropped in for a snack and fellowship.  His work is very stressful so we appreciate prayer for his work also. I am dedicating more time to the Brazil book since I know I must get the copies to the publisher soon.  I appreciate your prayers for this too. We look forward to church today.

Book work

VERSE FOR THE DAY

Romans 10:15
And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written:How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace,Who bring glad tidings of good things.

God searches for beautiful feet these days; that's funny you may say,
But faithful and loving preachers, are the ones God blesses today.
Preachers must be sent to the harvest fields if they are ever going to preach,
And the sent ones are busy bringing good things, to all the people they reach.
We are thankful for preachers bringing tidings of good things,
Because their message is for anyone, whether the poor or kings.(RP)

A big day yesterday with Bible study and a lunch with long-time friends in Bellingham.  In the late afternoon we were with my brother, and yes, he presented Margie with an IPad also.  Now we are both up-to-date.  I have a self-imposed priority of April as being the cutoff time for completing our Brazil book.  I will have to work fast and furiously to get it done. Margie had another good night. Thanks for praying.  We don't take you for granted.

Wet weather

VERSE FOR THE DAY

1 Peter 5:6-7
Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.

God is looking for humble servants, to work in His field today,
The rewards for service are plentiful, for those who do it God's way. Live for the Lord each day, casting all your cares upon Him,
And He will carry your burdens and definitely take care of them.(RP)

We are happy Margie had another good night.  Today we will be busy at Bible study, then meet Ruth Bose in town for a meal.  We were thrilled to receive a call from her telling us she would love to have time with us.  This is a rare and special time for us.  My brother  dropped by after work yesterday and spent part of the evening with us too.  It is so good to see him after not having that privilege for many years.  Tonight we plan to see him more.  Please continue your prayers for Margie's eye.  We pray the clot will dissolve.  Thanks for praying.

Sleep again

VERSE FOR THE DAY

But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name. John 1:12

A Christian is one who has received the Lord, believing He can save his soul,
And when this is done, Christ redeems him, forgiving and making him whole.
The Lord then makes him His child, because he believed on His name,
And now the new child has peace, and God's name to others he will proclaim. (RP)

As I mentioned before, we are glad to have my brother Harold here who is here on business for his electric company.  Some pretty hi-tech stuff he is working on and his 50 + years of experience helps him solve these mammoth challenges.  Yesterday he dropped by after work and did some tweaking on the new IPad he got for us. Our schedule for today includes a trip to the beauty shop for Margie and then we both attend the afternoon prayer meeting at our church.
Thanks so much for praying.

Not as good

VERSE FOR THE DAY

Psalm 29:11
The LORD will give strength to His people;
The LORD will bless His people with peace.

Two things we desperately need today, are promised in this verse.
But all around are the enemies of God who fight Him and wish to curse.
Oh that mankind would call upon God to give them the strength that they need,
Then He would bless them with power and peace, and from their sins be freed.
Make this your prayer today, my friend, and you will get more than you ask,
He'll answer you with a loving heart and in His grace you will bask
(RP)

Margie did not do as well as the nights previously, but at least she did get some sleep.  We are glad she did. My brother Harold is here so perhaps we will see him this afternoon.  He is very busy with some electrical challenges in our county. Being an expert, he is called on the resolve them.  He can.  Thanks folks for praying.  Please continue to remember Margie's eye problem - that the blood clot will dissolve and her sight will not be hindered.

Weather change

VERSE FOR THE DAY

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. Proverbs 9:10

True wisdom is misunderstood today, because we don't see it God's way,
Trusting God is the starting point, and for many this is something passe.
To know God is an admirable thing, that all mankind should pursue,
Those who have done this can say, for them many blessings did accrue.
(RP)

Yesterday was a full wonderful day.  Margie had a medical appointment in late morning. I did some shopping then got her and we shopped for some groceries, then went home.  My brother Harold called on his way home from a business trip nearby and we met at a Bellingham restaurant for supper.  We had such a good time there.  Afterward, he took us to a store and to my utter delight purchased an I Pad mini and gave it to me.  I never dreamed in this world to be the owner of one of these.  How gracious of my very generous brother.  Thanks friends for your prayers,  Margie had another good night for which we are thankful.

Happy Birthday Ernie

VERSE FOR THE DAY

But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. I Corinthians 15:57

Victory is something desired by all, but not everybody knows how to get it,
Some know that in Jesus you can find it, but are unwilling their sin to admit.
We are thankful for the victory Christ gives, for all who trust Him today,
By receiving Him as their Saviour, their sins He will wash away.(RP)

My brother Harold arrived last night on business in our county, and he set up a conference call to our other brother, Ernie in Singapore.  We had a grand time and took advantage of the opportunity to wish Ernie congratulations on his birthday.  He is ahead of me by five years and Harold, seven. It was already April 1 in Singapore when we talked to Ernie.  Margie had a good night.  We are thankful.  Thanks for your prayers,
