When she heard about Jesus, she came behind Him in the crowd and touched His garment. For she said, If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well.Immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of the affliction. Mark 5:27-29

The faith of this lady is a lesson to all
And is for those who will listen, whether great or small.
She longed to touch Him and be made whole.
And we know by this story Jesus was in control.
And by her faith the soul who suffered so much,
Was instantly healed when she decided her Savior to touch. (RP)

What a lesson in faith these verses teach us today. May we learn to come to Him with our needs and find His healing for the issues we  are facing today. Thanks for praying.

Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, O LORD, my strength and my Redeemer.Psalm 19:14

We know from this verse that the words of our mouth really come from the heart.
So help me Lord as I mediate from your Word never depart.
You are our strength and Redeemer, and may our prayer be acceptable to You,
As we stay in close communion, and always Your will pursue. (RP)

The meditation of our hearts comes first, then the words we speak will be flavored by how much time we are in communion with Him. Thanks for praying

Ephesians 6: 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil

Believers are given the armor of God in order to stand our foe.
This weapon is greater than anything else that we can have below.
Each piece is given for a purpose, and when worn will do its work.
To ward off the devil and his plans, so please do not this duty shirk.
Read about this armor in Ephesians 6 and you will be greatly blessed.
By taking each piece and wearing it right, for you this is the best.
Above all else pray much, knowing this brings us the power of God.
And never forget your shoes because with peace your feet are shod.  (RP)

Each day we choose what we will wear. Today, please take time to ponder the verse, and be wise in your appearance. Thanks for praying.

And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love. 1 Cor 13:13

Of all the things that can be named, there is one that tops them all,
And God's Word tells us in words clear and plain, that love is the one that stands tall.
Love is the greatest and should be practiced by us, everywhere we go,
So obediently follow the command of the Lord and never be dragging or slow.
The fruit of the Spirit is love, and communion with Christ supreme,
We will follow His Word and onward go and love will be our theme. (RP)

Luke 12:24-25
Consider the ravens, for they neither sow nor reap, which have neither storehouse nor barn; and God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds? And which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?

God feeds the birds their daily lot, and cares for them so much.
And as he cares for them each day, they feel his tender touch.
But as I see His tender care of all the creatures here.
I have to realize in my heart, I see His plan is clear.
He values us even more than the birds, and we can rejoice in this.
For His love is great indeed, beyond anything that exists.
The lesson for us is right here my friend; let us not ever forget.
Worrying never advances our cause; His care is the best thing yet.(RP)

Easier said than done. Don't worry. Maybe today we can start to get a handle on this age-old problem of worry. Let go, and let God should be our goal. How wonderfully He can resolve our issues. Just give Him a chance. Thanks for praying.

Ephesians 5:17
Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is.

We go through life knowing not what to do,but God gives His answer plain.
Read and study God's Word, and pray, and  his will you will soon ascertain.
We are unwise if we stay with our doubts, when in fact His will can be known.
So join the crowd that is seeking God's will and never again be alone.  (RP)

Is Saturday a "catch up" day? For some it is. But in this pursuit, let us not forget to seek God's will
in everything we do. Thanks for praying.

Ecclesiastes 8:12 Though a sinner does evil a hundred times, and his days are prolonged, yet I surely know that it will be well with those who fear God, who fear before Him.

We are sinners and cannot deny this fact; the Bible tells us so.
Men usually live a very long time, but God has blessings to bestow.
The person who fears the Lord, by trusting his life to His name.
Making the right choice to follow the Lord, he never will be the same.(RP)

If you have charted your course, by trusting Jesus all the way, you have nothing to lose. Let us resolve to put Him first TODAY, in all we do. Thanks for praying.

How easily words flow out of our mouths. Let us be careful today in all we say, that the Lord will be glorified by our speech and actions.
And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you. Ephesians 4:32
What wonderful counsel is given us here, to follow every day.
Kindness in action is God's word to us, as we walk in His way.
Tenderness is possible only in Him; the Holy Spirit makes it so.
And forgiveness is the magic that if followed makes us grow.
God has forgive each of His children, call us to do the same.
And when we follow these powerful rules, we truly exalt His name. (RP)

Zechariah 4:6 So he answered and said to me: "This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: 'Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,' Says the Lord of hosts.

We cannot brag of many things, God gives us what we are.
We could not do a thing, and for sure we would not go far.
The Lord of hosts says it right; it's by His Spirit we are led.
So submit to Him and let Him have control; you will get ahead.  (RP)

I am so glad there is more power available to us than we possess. How wonderful to go throughout this day with His power in our lives. I trust we will all claim this as we move about today. Thanks for praying.

The name of the LORD is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe.Proverbs 18:10

The name of the Lord means much to us, He is so strong and sure.
In Him is all the believer needs and a place so very secure.
When troubles arise and one needs help, come to God right now.
He will encourage and give you hope; and only His way allow.
Safety in Him is the promise to us; anything else will not do.
Stay with Him and trust always, He will see you through. (RP)

Lord willing, I will be at the church during most of the morning hours this week. I will do my studying there, in case my help is needed. Thanks for praying.

1 Samuel 2:3 Talk no more so very proudly; Let no arrogance come from your mouth, For the Lord is the God of knowledge; And by Him actions are weighed.

Step onto God's scale right now;He will weigh you right.
His verdict will assess you, and bring all things to light,
He knows what you talk, and how you walk, every day.
And His verdict will alarm you, as you go on your way.
Our Lord knows our thoughts as we read this right now.
Please come quickly to Him, and at His feet humbly bow.  (RP)

May this Scripture verse be embedded in our thoughts today, as we go about our way.  I am so thankful for Rawlie, who took me to church yesterday. He wanted to hear me preach. What a joy to proclaim God's word. Thanks for praying.

Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching.2 Tim 4:2
God's command is strong and straight in the things He would have us do.
We better take heed to His words, and diligently learn to pursue.
When the Word is preached by faithful ones, and taught in a meaningful way,
Many things take place in the hearers, we're told, so it behooves us to readily obey.
Be ready is the word, and longsuffering is required, of those who faithfully preach,
They will receive very much in reward, and look at how many they reach.  (RP)

Pastor Kiyle Decker is preaching and teaching the Word in Togo today. Pastor Dave Lunsford is doing likewise, and we are praying for their ministries there. What a privilege it is.  I am blessed to be asked to preach here at First Baptist in Ferndale. I am also blessed because my son, Rawlie, is here. He wanted to hear me. I am grateful. Thanks for praying.

But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your
Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.
Matthew 6:6

Help me find the secret place
Where I may pray to You,
And surely find your blessings
Which I know will not be few.  (RP)

I pray that today we may all learn the real value of personal prayer. There is so much to experience. Let us slip into God's school of prayer, His Word, and learn as much as we can. Thanks for praying.

Acts 10:43 To Him all the prophets witness that, through His name, whoever believes in Him will receive remission of sins.

All the Word witnesses the riches of God, by His promised remission of sins,
This wonderful forgiveness is explained in God's Word, and with faith it all begins. (RP)

One year ago today I was operated on for a goiter growing on my left thyroid. It was down in my chest area, and was as big as my heart.  God graciously brought me through that.  In the process however, I lost my voice and the ability to swallow without aspirating. Through the doctor and our loving Lord, my voice was restored. The swallowing difficulty is still with me, but wonderfully  helped with a stomach peg-tube by which I administer nutrients via a syringe.  God is good and my health is too, for which I praise Him.Thanks for praying.

But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty  1 Cor 1:27

The world thinks we're foolish as onward we go,
But the truth of the matter is, we're really not slow.
The wise in their thinking are the ones who lose,
And God keeps on helping them the wise to confuse,
The mighty may think they are winners indeed,
But God helps the weak ones in all that they need.  (RP)

I told pastor Decker before he left for his ministry trip to Togo, Africa, that I would come to the church in the morning hours, when possible. I can do my work there on my computer. I want to be there in case my help is needed by the secretary, or others who may come to the church. Please pray for Pastor and Mrs Decker and Pastor Dave Lunsford as they minister in Togo the next few days. Thanks for praying.

Psalm 118:24
This is the day the LORD has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it.

The New Year starts this very day and what a day it is,
God made it for us and we are glad, because it's totally His.
Let us rejoice in what God has made, and smile the whole day through,
And dedicate ourselves to Him again and begin a year that's brand new. (RP)

Here we are in the New Year.  Is it a fresh start for you? Are we willing to give this year to the Lord, and allow HIM to direct our steps? I pray it will be so. Determine to read the Bible, pray, and tell others of your faith in Jesus Christ. What a year it will be, if we can fulfill these goals. Thanks for praying.
