Scare

Hebrews 6:15
And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.

Impatience is so much a part of us, it is a trait we should never adopt,
We should earnestly ask God to remove it and keep at it until it is stopped.
Endurance rewards one if done His way, so patiently keep walking with God
His promises will be yours as you valiantly fight, and endeavor this pathway to trod.(RP)

A phrase from my prayer each night is this, "Lord please help Margie not to have a choking spell, seizure, or fall." In past times she has suffered all these to some degree.  Last night during supper she lost her breath again and was desperately trying to regain control.  Thank the Lord I was there and could literally run to the kitchen for medication.  We are thankful she came through another one of these.  She has suffered this problem MANY times.  It is pretty discouraging for her because recently she has been doing better.  Please pray for her that these breathless, choking-like episodes will not return.  Despite her set-back, she plans on going to church this morning.  We look forward to this.  Thanks SO MUCH for your prayers.

The heat's on

Jeremiah 1:5
Before I formed you in the womb I knew you;before you were born I sanctified you;I ordained you a prophet to the nations.

What wonderful words we read in God's Word of the prophet long ago,
God chose him before he was born, and upon him His grace did bestow.
God set him apart and ordained him to preach, all the rest of his earthly years.
May God help us to pray and do His will and ask Him for more pioneers.(RP)

The weatherman predicts much warmer days ahead.  Our house is open and the cool fresh air feels good.  By this afternoon things will be different.  But we have it so much better than other places around the country.  I was able to get more done with our Brazil book, by organizing the pictures we are going to use in the stories.  We have talked a lot about the book in this blog.  It is probably because we cannot give total dedication to it.  There are other important things we must give attention to also.  But it is all very enjoyable.  When the last edited stories from Athens, Greece, arrive, then we will start assembling the manuscript according to publisher standards and send it off.  This week we have been in contact with them relative to the book cover.  The ones I designed unfortunately did not have high resolution pictures which means they could not be enlarged sufficiently without blurring.  We are glad that Karla, at Xulon Press does these things daily, so can help us with the theme idea for the book cover. Thanks so much for praying.

Looking ahead

Proverbs 16:18
Pride goes before destruction, And a haughty spirit before a fall.

Pride has many forms, and you know what I'm talking about,
You don't have to explain this sin, for all of us there's no doubt.
God tells us destruction comes to those who willingly persist in this.
And the ones who do, can rightfully say they have really been remiss.
If pride has taken charge of you, please run to the Lord and call,
Do this right now before it's too late, and especially before you fall.(RP)

This morning started warm and mild.  Before Tuesday of next week we are told it will be in the 80s.  That's nothing compared to the south land   Yesterday I worked more on the book getting the corrected and edited pages into the manuscript.  We will soon receive the rest from Athens, and then we submit all to the publisher.
I submitted another cover design to the publisher but it may noit be adequate for the job.  They will help us on that and assure us we will like their design.  That is comforting.  Thanks for praying.  We appreciate it.

Cover design

Psalm 133:1
Behold, how good and how pleasant it is For brethren to dwell together in unity!

Do you have trouble with brothers and sisters in Christ?
Do you think God's demands are high priced?
With Him it is possible to live in unity, but there is a price to pay.
You must submit to the Spirit of God and then everything will be okay.
Listen to Him, and you will soon find out that things are pleasant and nice,
And dwelling together in unity is surely the best advice.(RP)

A book cover design is important.  We are now asking questions, getting suggestions.  The one I designed, may be too confusing. We are praying for the Lord's help to find the right one.  Please help us in prayer about this matter.  Today is prayer meeting at the church and we look forward to it.  Margie had a good night for which we are grateful. Thanks for praying.

Editing

The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.
Psalm 18:2
We can boast in the right way, so many things, that we possess in Christ our Lord,
Just look at the way He protects each day, giving refuge that can't be ignored.
I'm so glad that our position in Him is secure and without fear it will ever fail,
And this place in His care is so sure that we know it will forever and always prevail.
His strength and shield and stronghold and salvation are just some of the things he provides,
And the list could go on for a long time, I know, because He comforts and continually guides.(RP)

With the advantage of email, we have been helped tremendously by Helen Steele, member of our church who is a missionary in Athens, Greece.  She is re-editing our book, giving it an added dimension of scrutiny which we deeply appreciate.  Yesterday I spent the day going through suggested changes and getting the first 152 pages ready for the publisher.   I also worked again on the book cover design, a suggestion Margie gave.  I have that pretty well completed now.  Thank you for praying.

Keep it up

Proverbs 6:16-19
These six things the LORD hates, Yes, seven are an abomination to Him:A proud look, A lying tongue, Hands that shed innocent blood,A heart that devises wicked plans, Feet that are swift in running to evil, A false witness who speaks lies, And one who sows discord among brethren.

Some may think that God can't hate but there are things he will not stand,
In English plain they are listed here just as He has planned.
There are only six in this important list so listen to them now,
And please remember for the child of God, these things he does not allow.
Each one of these is a serious thing and please don't let them in,
Disobedience to this great command is indeed an ugly sin.(RP)

Having never gone this route before of writing a book, we realize how important it is to just keep at it.  We are doing that.  It is all very enjoyable especially as we look at the final product.  Even though it will not be world shaking, we are excited about it anyway.  Hopefully this week we will make good progress toward terminating the process.  We at least hope and pray that will be the case.  Thanks so much for praying for us.  We appreciate it.

Watch the calendar

1 John 5:5
Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?

God helps His children to be over comers, by a very simple plan,
Receiving Jesus as the Son of God, makes you better than when you began.
God enables you to resist evil things, and stand tall for what is right,
By empowering you with his Spirit, as you walk obediently in His light.(RP)

We must watch the calendar these days as we move toward our goal of having the Brazil book deal submitted to the publisher by July.  I am not positive we will make it but we certainly hope so.  Yesterday I designed the cover picture for it and the professionals will help with the details when we submit the manuscripts.  It was a pleasure for us to be in Sunday School and church yesterday.  Today we jump back into the routine and try to get more done with the book.  Thanks so much for praying.

Lord's Day

Hebrews 5:13-14
For everyone who partakes only of milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, for he is a babe. But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

God expects us to be skilled in the use of the Word, no longer babies we should be,
Solid food helps Christians grow and learn God's Word, and that we can plainly see.
Mature believers are the result of proper nutrition we know, so this should be our goal,
And when done God's way we discern good and evil. and live under His divine control. (RP)

Yesterday Margie did some baking and I spent most of the day working on cleaning up the manuscript for our Brazil book.  Helen Steele sent 152 stories back she had examined.  We appreciate so much her help in this.  I did some work in the flower garden but did not finish.  We look forward to fellowship this morning at Sunday School and church.  We thank you sincerely for your prayer support.

Congratulations

1 Peter 2:20
For what credit is it if, when you are beaten for your faults, you take it patiently? But when you do good and suffer, if you take it patiently, this is commendable before God.

Patience has two sides and both are good I guess,
But suffering for your faults really does not impress.
Suffering for the right, has much value indeed,
God's Word tells us so, and to this we are agreed.(RP)

Margie and I drove to Marysville yesterday to celebrate with friends and family Jonathan Oliveira's graduation.  He is studying to be a paramedic and has done well.  We are proud of him and his achievements.  We had a wonderful time with our family who was also there and related to the Jonathan. Yesterday we also received multiple emails from Athens, Greece and Helen Steele who has graciously consented do look over our book manuscript and give it a fine-tuning prior to publishing.  We appreciate very much her ability to proofread and make appropriate suggestions for improvement. Margie had another good night for which we are thankful.  Thanks so much for praying.

Summer

2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

To be in Christ, oh what a place to be,
I wish that everybody this could see.
A born again person, a new creation is,
And it is because we are now wholly His.
In Christ old things we used to do passed away,
And now our future is new and we have Christ to portray.(RP)

Around here today it certainly does not feel like the first day of summer. They say tomorrow it will be warm again so then maybe summer will be here in Ferndale. Yesterday I spent a good deal of time numbering and naming the graphics we are going to use in the Brazil book.  There are a myriad of things to do as we prepare the book for publishing.  We appreciate your prayer help as we do this.  thanks so much.  Yes,  Margie had a good night.

Surprise

John 13:34
A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another.

God's great command is for us, and we are to love as He did,
And when you do it His way, there is no one who will forbid.
To love one another is God's normal, we should do it every day,
And the important thing for us, we should do it without delay. (RP)

Yesterday in working with our Brazil book material, it was discovered that 17 files were not transferred to the master document which was prepared to send to the publisher.  This complicates things a little but we will proceed and see if we can get things done.  Our friend Helen Steele in Athens, Greece is fine-tuning our final copy and we are sorry these 17 files are missing for her to peruse. Yesterday my brother Harold treated us to a wonderful meal at Anthony's in Bellingham.  He told us that tomorrow he will be flying back to Anchorage, having terminated his major work at the Ferndale refinery.  We are really going to miss his daily visits and fellowship. Thanks so much for praying.

Book work

James 3:8-10
But no man can tame the tongue. It is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. With it we bless our God and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in the similitude of God. Out of the same mouth proceed blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not to be so.

God's description of the tongue is so very true, is is not?
It seems that no matter what we say we are bound to get caught.
The tongue is evil and poison indeed, and we use it for many things,
And the sad part is this that so often to us sorrow brings.
Let us train our tongue to bless the Lord and honor Him with it,
And promise God we will do our best and our lives to Him recommit.(RP)

Margie and I spent more than a half day matching the pictures to the proper story in our Brazil book.  We had a set-back when we discovered 4 stories that we had not included in the manuscript.  Today we will be going over that carefully to be sure we have included all of them.  We were to have dinner with our brother Harold in the late afternoon, but a situation at his work place demanded his presence so we canceled.  We will try again this evening.  Thanks, friends, for your prayer support.

Sleep

1 Peter 5:6-7
Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.

It's easy to be humble when to God your life is given,
Knowing well your life is His and your sins are all forgiven.
God exalts the ones who humbly come to him each day,
And their lives are safely resting in His life which is okay.
And our recourse is so nice when we cast on Him our care,
Knowing fully He will help us and and all our burdens bear.(RP)

Thankfully Margie had a good night.  Yesterday was a busy one as we matched up our pictures with the stories in the Brazil book.  Today we will continue that.  Our dear friend Helen Steele is fine-tuning our manuscript and it should be ready sometime this week.  We are thankful for the computer and cyberspace which makes this possible.  She is in Athens, Greece and the transfer of files happens in just seconds. Harold, my brother was here yesterday for food and fellowship.  It is always nice having him.  His work responsibilities may be winding down now so our times together will be coming to an end.  We are NOT looking forward to that.   Thanks dear friends for your faithful prayer support.

Sorry

Proverbs 11:6
The righteousness of the upright will deliver them,But the unfaithful will be caught by their lust.

The upright are righteous by God's standard and He will deliver them all.
In Christ we are made righteous, and what a story each of us can recall.
But sadness awaits the unfaithful whose lust has led them astray,
And the only thing left for such persons is heaviness and a life of dismay.(RP)

We are sorry Margie had a bad night.  From midnight till past 3 a.m. she did not sleep.  We don't know what went wrong.  Tonight we pray this will not be repeated.  Yesterday, however, we had a wonderful day.  Rawlie and his family took us to restaurant to celebrate Father's Day.  It was very nice.  Then they came here for rhubarb cobbler Gina made.  It was such a pleasant time and we thoroughly enjoyed the time.  They went back home yesterday.  Please pray we will be able to get all the necessary documents in proper order to send to the publisher for our book deal.  Thanks so much for praying.

Father's Day

And you, fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord.
Ephesians 6:4

Thank God for godly fathers, who reared their children God's way,
Who sacrificed much of themselves so that their offspring would not stray,
Thank God for fathers who trained us and taught us faithfully God's truth,
Who daily exemplify godly living and teach it by their lives to the youth. (RP)

Our son and his family treats us for lunch today to celebrate Fathers Day.  Rawlie has been with us since Friday night and his family arrives today.  Margie had a good night.  It is a beautiful day and we look forward to being in church this morning.  Thank you friends for praying.

Another good night

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ
Ephesians 1:3

You don't have to wait to be blessed, because God blesses you right now,
His heavenly blessings are available now; our Father loves to endow.
Please note he gives every spiritual blessing; what a wonderful gift.
And because they come from Him there is no worry about a shift.(RP)

Margie slept well last night.  We attended a recital last night and it was very pleasant to meet people we had not seen in a long time.  And Grace Stowell did a magnificent job.  It was a blessing.  And Margie could even enjoy the refreshments because they were gluten free. Our son, Rawlie is with us and my brother was here for a snack yesterday late afternoon.  He and his family will treat us to Fathers Day lunch tomorrow.  Thanks so much for praying.  We appreciate it.

More of the same

Psalm 69:34
Let heaven and earth praise Him, The seas and everything that moves in them.

God is to be praised by all, no matter where they are,
If they are right here, it's for them, or if they are very far.
Heaven and earth will praise Him; this is His sovereign will,
And the things that live in the sea, to hear them is a thrill.(RP)

We are happy Marge had another good night.  Often these come in series of three. We'll see.  Yesterday was a busy day with Margie doing some more food preparation and also cleaning the bathrooms.  I did the floors and also the kitchen.  We had afternoon prayer meeting which is always a blessing.  My brother was here for a snack in the afternoon.  It is nice we have this time together after many years of not seeing him.  We continue working on the Brazil book which is a challenge.  We discovered that if we desire more pictures in the book than the 50 allowed, we pay a heavy price for EACH one.  So we are rethinking that.  Please pray for another process in the book.  We submitted the manuscript to a dear friend who is rechecking the stories and giving some positive suggestions for improving their readability.  We deeply appreciate those who are gifted in this, such as Helen Steele who although in Athens, Greece is doing this for us.  Please pray that we will be able to meet a deadline schedule.  Thanks for praying.

Maybe the best

Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.
James 1:12
Temptations surround us one and all, everywhere we see them big and small,
God tells us endurance is what we need, and if you do, please give Him a call.
The crown of life is for those who are approved, and what a blessing is this,
So be faithful dear Christian, keep loving the Lord and this joy you will not miss.(RP)

Margie said to me this morning that last night was one of the best she has ever had.  We love to hear this and pray she could say it every day.  Yesterday she had her physical therapy session in Lynden.  She faithfully does the exercises at home also to increase her use of her hands arm and neck.  My brother was here for a snack late yesterday afternoon.  We always watch the news together before he leaves for the motel. They are nearing the end of their work at the refinery and he may get to go home to Anchorage before resuming his projects in this area.   Thanks dear friends for your prayers,

Lynden

Mark 11:25
And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses.

When Christians pray, God requires much and He tells us so right here,
If you have been wronged and will not forgive, your state is quite severe.
When we forgive, then God forgives and our communion is so sweet,
And when we treat people like God wants us to, our lives will be complete.(RP)

This morning Margie has therapy in Lynden.  While there I do some shopping at Safeway to pick up some necessary items.  After a few weeks doing that, the gas price comes down at Safeway gas and we like that.  I also go on line to take advantage of Safeways "Just For You" program where after selection of the items we want, the Safeway card contains all that information and I don't have to present coupons at check out.  It is pretty nice.  We will tell you about it later, but we have a new twist to our book publishing which we know is an added blessing.  We are thankful for a good night's rest.  Thanks so much for praying.

Progress

Hebrews 4:12
For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Oh what a treasure we have in God's Word; it's greater than all other books,
It penetrates deeply every one who will read it, and into their soul it looks,
The power it displays and the way it cuts deeply, is greater than any sword,
It convicts and persuades men to do right; what a blessing that can't be ignored.
The Word even knows what we're thinking right now and what we intend to do,
So yield to its power and let it rule your life; you'll be blessed in all you pursue.

Margie spent a lot of time in the kitchen yesterday, baking and preparing food.  She is so glad for the strength and desire to do this. She had another good night last night.  Yesterday we worked the entire day on the Brazil book.  We are approaching deadlines and thank you for praying with us about this.

More of the same

And men were scorched with great heat, and they blasphemed the name of God who has power over these plagues; and they did not repent and give Him glory.
Revelation 16:9

God's rejectors have a future so bleak, and a story sad to tell,
Scorching heat will make them agonize and they will screech and yell.
They will blaspheme God and there's not even remorse,
For they willingly and shamefully will choose this course.
If they will only stop to consider the freedom offered by Christ,
We are sure they will receive Him and it will surely suffice. (RP)

Today is more of the same: Brazil book.  There are "scads" of details to work out.  We really need to bring it to a quick end.  We are working on it daily. The weather is beautiful today. Margie's night was not as good as previous ones, but she did get some sleep.  We appreciate your prayers.

The Lord's day

John 14:15
If you love Me, keep My commandments

Jesus' words are very simple in this world so twisted and torn,
And His words have encouraged millions, even before we were born.
The reasonable thing is to love Jesus with all your heart,
His word will then be important and you will never depart.
So loving Him means you keep His commandments today,
And you will keep on doing it all the rest of the way. (RP)

We look forward to the Sunday School hour this morning.  Our teacher is a student of the Word and we enjoy learning from him.  The worship service that follows will be instructional also. I believe there will be a communion service also which adds to the worship time. Yesterday we were blessed by visiting an elderly couple who pray for us regularly.  We took prepared food to them and visited and had prayer.  My brother made his usual visit to our home for a snack, fellowship and we watched a program together.  Margie had a good night.  Thank you for praying.

Fast

Mt 4:4
But He answered and said, "It is written, 'Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.

There's something more important than food, that man should think about,
And any person who is listening, would not like to be without.
Jesus uttered these words so important, that bread is not enough,
And those who do not heed His words, has a life that's really tough.
The words of Jesus are life for us, and we better take earnest heed,
Listen to Him and obey His words and it is certain you will succeed.(RP)

We are sure you notice also how FAST the week goes.  As we age, I am sure that sensation increases.  Yesterday was the first Friday in many weeks that we did not have Bible class.  That will start again on September 6.  We are happy to havae the extra time so we can complete our "homework" prior to sending off our manuscript to the publisher for the Brazil book. There is a LOT of things to do before that happens.  It is all very interesting so nothing is a chore. It just takes time.  Margie slept well last night and we are thankful.  Thanks so much for praying.

Schedule change

Revelation 3:20
Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door,I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.

Jesus stands at the door of my heart, seeking to enter in,
His knock is a reminder He desires my fellowship to win.
It's up to me to open the door as my Savior gently knocks,
I always pray I will open the door and have only a door without locks.
Fellowship with Jesus is the sweetest hour of the day,
And he promises this to all, if they will just let Him have His way(RP)

A wonderful night for Margie.  How great to see that.  Today she goes to the beauty shop because we don't have the regular Bible study class until September 6.  So we will start getting in step with this change. Yesterday we narrowed down our 401 pictures to 96 for the Brazil book.  Now we must cut out almost half of those because we are allowed 50 only for the book.  If we want more there is a charge above what we have already paid for publishing. Margie will be baking another pie today to serve my brother who comes later in the afternoon for a snack.,  Thanks folks for praying.

Book pictures

But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
Matthew 6: 33.34

What a recourse we have in our faith, as we seek first God's kingdom each day,
The things God wants us to have will be given us along the way.
Never worry about things we don't have, for God knows what's best for us,
So don't get up tight and be frantic with life and spend all your time in a fuss.
Each day is filled with trouble enough, so just trust God to supply your need,
Trusting Him every day and resting in Him is certainly a blessing indeed.(RP)

This morning Margie and I intend to go through the pictures chosen from our twenty-five years in Brazil, and from them select 50 for the Brazil book.  That's not many pictures, but it is the limit set by the publishing company for the package we chose.  Any more pictures than this would add extra cost to the project.  This afternoon we will be, Lord willing, in the prayer meeting at our church.  My brother Harold will be coming by after work for a snack and dessert and some fellowship. It is a beautiful day again with more on the way.  Thanks so much for praying for us.

Tryout

The LORD is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid?
Psalm 27:1

There's so much fear in the world today, people don't know what to do,
The reason is because they know not Jesus, and for many this is something new.
The Lord is light and salvation, to all who invite Him into their lives,
And any who makes this decision, by God's Word we know he survives.
So trust Jesus dear friend and His strength will help you all the way,
And your fear of circumstances and people, will certainly pass away.(RP)

Yesterday morning was a busy shopping time that went smoothly and quickly and soon we were back home.  My brother wanted to take us out for a meal in the late afternoon so Margie researched a restaurant about gluten free offers on the menu.  We experimented and found it very nice.  It was a very warm day according to normal temperatures around Ferndale so windows and doors were opened and the evaporation cooler turned on with plenty of water in it. It gave us a delightful night. Today we go to Lynden for Margie's physical therapy.  Thanks for praying.

Full day

Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God,
that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name.
Hebrews 13:15

There is something we must daily do as we walk and talk down here,
And we never should do it as a chore, dear friend, because it is very dear.
With our lips we must always give thanks to God, and praise Him from our heart,
Giving Him glory with all we have and from this practice never depart. (RP)

There is plenty on our list today, so we will be doing some necessary shopping (Including medication for Margie).  Yesterday I completed the review of all the 35 mm slides we took during our 25 years in Brazil.  It is the second time I have gone through them.  I wanted to be sure I found all that was necessary for our book.  We don't want to have to pay for pictures if we get them Online.  Some sites have royalty free ones if we do need them.  Thanks for your prayers.

Great day

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
Romans 12:2

The world lures us its way so we'll become one of them,
Don't let it happen because from this, problems stem.
Let your mind be transformed by the power of God,
And you'll be so blessed as you onward trod.
When your mind is right, God's will you'll pursue,
And your life will soon prove that what you live is true.(RP)

Yesterday missionaries Rick and Lisa Caynor and their children gave us a blessed presentation of how God is using them in Thailand for His glory.  We thoroughly enjoyed our time at church listening to them.  Today we start at at "full steam" working on our book.  We need a lot of wisdom and the time to get it all done.  It is ALL very enjoyable so in reality not a "task" at all. But it does take time.  Margie had a good night.  We are glad.  Thanks for praying.

Missions Sunday

John 13:14
If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another's feet.

The servant heart of Jesus is a lesson for us all,
When I read this humble story it's the best I can recall.
Jesus showed such lovely humbleness, so what is the lesson for me?
He surely expects me to practice it on others, you see. (RP)

Today missionaries Rick and Lisa Caynor are at our church giving a report of their ministry in Thailand.  We look forward to this.  Last night I took my brother to E.R. where he received medication and other treatment for a salivary gland that had apparently inflamed and was causing much distress, including headaches.  So that was an eventful evening.  In the afternoon we received a call from our good Brazilian friend, Inaçio, bringing us up to date on some developments in Brazil.  It was an enjoyable time listening and using our Portuguese.  The vertigo attacks I had previously are diminishing, for which I am thankful.  Thanks for praying.

Fragile but functioning

Romans 14:7-8
For none of us lives to himself, and no one dies to himself. For if we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. Therefore, whether we live or die, we are the Lord's.

Believers in Jesus are not alone, we belong to the family of God,
You may think when life's over you just die, and they put you under the sod.
But I have news for you my friend, no one lives or dies to himself down here,
If you live, you do it for the Lord, if you die it is also for the Lord. It really is that clear.
What a wonderful heritage we have in Jesus our Savior and Lord,
So no matter what happens to us, we are the Lord's, and this is a glorious reward! (RP)

Vertigo is in command this morning (and yesterday also).  I am glad I was able to conduct the last class of our Bible study okay.  I worked all the rest of the day going through slides for our Brazil book.  Today will be more calm.  I take Margie to the chiropractor before noon.  I will only do it if I can drive,  I may have to call for help.  We both had a good night for which we are thankful. Yesterday we were going out for supper with my brother, but Margie didn't feel up to it and of course you know how I felt. Then we discovered my brother was not feeling the best either. We gave him some medication for his headache and before he left our house was feeling much better.  As always we thank you for your prayers.
