NOT YESTERDAY

And he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.
Luke 18:27

In our weakness it's so easy to say, this or that can’t be done,
Forgetting that with God all is possible; Our battles He has already won.(RP)

We though Margie would be released yesterday but the doctors, including the cardiologist, decided to send all the data to an elecrophisiologist for his analysis.  Today, maybe they will tell her if she needs a pacemaker or not.  I had to cancel her important appointment with the retina specialist for today.  Thanks so much for praying things are a "whirl" around here.

MAYBE TODAY

How can a young man cleanse his way?
By taking heed according to Your Word.
Psalm 119:9

Household cleaners come in all shapes and forms, to keep things clean and bright,
But God has a cleaner that beats them all, made to clean hearts and make them right.
Young people and all can keep their lives pure, by doing what God commands,
His Word will keep you from sin each day as you read it and obey its demands.
(RP)
Latest notice from cardiologist:  What I said (below) is outdated already.  Margie will stay another day to await the verdict of another specialist who will determine if Margie needs a pacemaker or not.
Thanks for praying about this.

Margie is anxious to get home.  Hospital life is so different. The positive side is all the tests that are done to determine what is wrong with the patient.  We are not at that point yet.  The cardiologist said that if the present actions of the heart get weaker, then a pacemaker will have to be used.  So we need much prayer for wisdom.  Margie just called and did not have a good night.  But two doctors have been there to see already this morning and she had another EKG.  We appreciate your prayers.  She MAY get to come today.

HOSPITAL

This is a faithful saying, and these things I want you to affirm constantly, that those who have believed in God should be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable to men.
Titus 3:8
Some things we can't miss when we think of God's will for us,
He saved us and gave us work to do so there's nothing more to discuss.
Just do what God wants you to do in the service for our King
Your work will be rewarded and all will to Him their praises bring.(RJ)

Yesterday was a full day at the hospital.  Margie's shortness of breath and heart pain was tested throughout the day. They put her on oxygen also.  We are awaiting the result of the echogram done late yesterday afternoon.  Margie said they did another test this morning.  Naturally, she wants to come home and we hope the doctor will permit release her.  She had a fairly good rest but it was difficult getting help during the night to help her out of bed. I will finish this blog and gather a few things together and make my way to the hospital for the day.  Thanks so much for praying

EMERGENCY

Jesus answered, "It is written: 'Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.' Matthew 4:4

There's more to life than food and drink, and that's God word to us,
God's Word is what's important, about this we need not discuss. What God commands us through His Word is all we need to hear,
So listen up and begin right now to make His Word very dear.(RP)

Margie awakened me early and said she had trouble breathing.  I called 911, they came and did preliminary check up then took her to emergency at the St. Joseph Hospital in Bellingham, Washington.  I followed soon after.  After a long time in ER, she was moved to the Cardio-Vascular unit in the hospital.  She had several EKG's done and the doctor today ordered another test and some medication.  He is concerned with her chest pain and shortness of breath.  He said the X-ray indicated an enlarged heart.  So at this point we really don't have a diagnosis.  Thanks so much for praying.

WARM WEATHER

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Isaiah 41:10.

We all have fears of various kinds; this word from God brings hope,
He strengthens and hold us, and with each problem we can cope.
How wonderful to have His righteous right hand to help along the way,
We need not dismay nor be afraid, because our Lord's love is on display. (RP)

It was quite warm yesterday and in the evening we used the evaporation cooler to make things more comfortable for sleeping. The machine really works well.  Today the weather is beautiful.  We tried to visit our friend in the rest home yesterday but only family was permitted, so we left the card and I took Margie to her appointment.  All went well on that visit for which we are thankful. Today Margie has her hair done and in the afternoon is prayer meeting.  I continue my stories for the future book.  I wrote three more stories yesterday.  Thanks for praying.

DOCTOR

Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, 21 to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen. Ephesians 3:20-21

It is so easy to limit God with our earthly, carnal mind,
Just open the Bible, and rich treasures you will find.
God can do whatever He wills in our lives today, you see,
Ask Him for the things He wants for you;make this your plea.
God's power works within us, to accomplish His sovereign will,
And those who seek it honestly, your prayer He will fulfill.
We look around us daily, thanking God for answered prayer,
And give Him all the glory for our burdens which He will bear
(RP)

We are off to Lynden for Margie's doctor appointment.  While in the area, I will shop, and we both with try to visit a friend in the rest home.  I will send to our church secretary the prayer sheet for Thursday, and also as an insert in the Sunday bulletin.  So I guee we have enough to keep us on the go for a few hours.  Thanks so much for praying.

SUGGESTIONS

And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. John 8:32

To live in truth is an honorable thing and Jesus provided this gift,
And what a blessing to multitudes, who are lost and going adrift.
Jesus the Way, the Truth and the Life, gives us what we need,
Trusting Him as your Savior, is the best news ever decreed.
The best thing Jesus gives is freedom; how great it is to be free,
Receive His gift by trusting in His name, and then you too will see. (RP)

After yesterday's blog a good friend Elaine called, to give a solution to keeping the deer away.  Use human hair from the barber shops, sprinkled around the plant, and the deer are repelled.  What a great idea.  We had already purchased a product when she called.  Our idea learned in Montana did not help either.  Our rose bush is pretty well depleted.  They ate all the fresh new green leaves also.  This bush is the memorial rose we got for Joy's service.  It has been a blessing to watch these two years.  We start over now and see what comes of things.   Thanks for praying.

DISAPPOINTMENT

You are complete in Him.
Colossians2:10

Broken lives and hurting souls around us today,
Need to hear of God's grace to help them in dismay.
Jesus gives life to those who will trust Hiim and save their soul,
With sins forgiven and a new life with Him- what a joy to have Him in control.(RP)

We awakened this morning to find all our roses eaten, the new cucumber plant and also tomato.  I purchased anti-deer spray, but discovered you could not use it on edible vegetables so tried the next best thing we learned in Montana.  Now we know that the dryer sheets (used in clothes dryer) also do not work.  Now we start over again.  Our rose bush was purchased when our daughter Joy died and has given us such an abundance of roses.  In fact the deer ate all of them last night.  I would guess there were at least 75 flowers and buds on that bush.  The irony of all this is that when I went out to inspect the plants this morning, the whole family of deer was next door, very near, watching. Oh well.  We live and learn.  Thanks for praying.

2ND DAY OF SUMMER

Philippians 1:6
Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.

God never leaves His work undone; it is complete and very well done.
And we who claim Him as our Lord, know the battle is won.
When you and I trusted Jesus as Lord, and eternal life received,
It was the greatest thing that happened, since the day we believed.
Please know fellow-traveler that God is working in you every day,
Perfecting, enriching, and doing what's best, for each of us in His way.(RP)

Yesterday was a beautiful start to summer.  Today is the same. We look forward to going to church this morning.  Although we don't plan to stay, there is a picnic lunch provided today for those who care to remain after church and enjoy the meal with others.  Margie's gluten-free demands limit our participation in these things.  We are not complaining, however, because our son and grandson are here and we will visit with them.  Yesterday I repotted the cucumber and tomato plants, and hope they are not too appealing to the many deer we have roaming around our house night and day. Thanks for praying.

GARDENING

The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.
James 5:16

When righteous men and women pray, their prayers are heard, I know,
And Christians who delight in this, are in communion with Him and grow.
The world has no idea of the value of prayer, but we know it is worth much,
And such a pleasure to talk to God, and have His tender touch
.So keep on praying, friends, your prayers are valuable indeed,
And God will bless us all, because His will you did not impede.(RP)

The other day at the garden shop, Margie picked out a tomato and cucumber plant.  We have had a lot of fun watching them grow.  Today I plan to replant them in larger pots and put a trellis up so the cucumbers have a place to climb.  The tomatoes are on a small bushy plant and don't grow tall.  It is all new to us so this is the first time in my 83 years to even handle such things.  But it is fun and we will see what happens.  Rawlie arrives today.  His family is already here.  We will hopefully all have lunch together.   Thanks for your prayers,

NO BIBLE CLASS

Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be  John 14:27

The world seeks peace but finds it not; it does not go to the source, Many seek help for trouble, but the wrong method they endorse.
Jesus is peace, and gives it those who will seek his help today,
By trusting Him for sins forgiven, and this because they obey.
He leaves us His peace and gives His peace, a promise very strong,
Christ in your life and the benefits given, I declare, you cannot go wrong.
His peace gives hope, and a trouble-free heart, and you will not be afraid,
Because you trusted Him for everything, and at His feet your burdens laid.(RP)

It will seem odd not going to Bible class today.  It is recessed for the summer.  We start up again September 5.  Some have expressed to us they lament we are not having the class.  I will be working ahead preparing lessons for the Fall classes.  In fact that's what I will be doing this morning.  I was able to write 3 more stories for the book yesterday and Margie proofed them, adding or subtracting things that make the story more readable.  Our son is supposed to arrive this weekend, so we look forward to this.   Thanks for praying.

REGULAR DAY

Matthew 11:28
Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

In a world filled with turmoil, and unrest on every hand,
Things seem to go awry, and not the way we had planned.
Man's spiritual state is lacking; it desperately needs God's touch,
And Jesus calls us come to Him, and He will give us much.
Besides forgiveness, and salvation free, He will give you rest,
Life will be changed and joy fill your soul and you will be truly blest.(RP)

Our Thursday is pretty normal.  I take Margie to the Hair Salon and I usually pick up some items at the grocery or drugstore. I can usually get some things done at home before returning to pick her up.  In the afternoon we pick up a person and go to church for prayer meeting.  As I started this blog, across our front lawn walked a mother deer and her two babies.  They were only about two feet long.  They were beautiful.  Trust you have a good day.  Thanks for your prayers.

IN THE KITCHEN

And the second, like it, is this: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. There is no other commandment greater than these.
Mark 12:31
Jesus knows our heart how we value our lives,
Apart from Him and lessons taught, no one survives.
God's command points to us with strong words to obey,
We should listen and act and that without delay.(RP)

This promises to be a busy one.  With washing, drying, folding, ironing and all things related to that process, Margie wants to do some baking.  I found a good price on bell peppers yesterday, so plan to stuff 10 of them this morning.  Our kitchen will be busy.  I will find time to work up the prayer sheet for our church, and perhaps try writing another chapter in our up-coming book.  I did write one more yesterday.  As long as the ideas come, we will continue this effort. Thanks for your prayer support.

THREE MORE CHAPTERS

But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
Matthew 6:33

(Sorry, the poem did not print in today's column)

I was able to write three more chapters for the book yesterday.  Today will be interrupted by some necessary short trips for various things we need to pick up.  Then I hope to get back to more writing in early afternoon.  Our weather is superb.  Our flowers look so nice and the rose bush is aflame with blossoms. There are usually over 50 blooms at all time brightly shining on it.  This is the rose bush we purchased when Joy died.  We call it Joybells.  Thanks for praying.

WRITING

And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.
Mark 11:25

When you are praying to your Father, remember His instructions so plain,
You must have a forgiving spirit, if you desire His answer to attain.
God does not answer our prayers, when unforgiving is part of life.
You can be sure trouble is on the way, and you will have plenty of strife.
If today you have something against any, forgive them right now, is my plea,
God will then answer prayer, and new victory and blessings you will see.(RP)

Hopefully today I can do more writing for our next book.  It has been many weeks since I last wrote more chapters.  I will try to get more done this week.  We do not have a name yet for our book but I have 101 chapters written.  I thoroughly enjoy it.  Margie has read many of the 11 years of journals, containing our daily goings-on, from which she takes kry thoughts that I use for the stories. Yesterday, Father's Day, we were royally treated as our son invited us to a restaurant in Burlington, WA., - about 35 minutes away to the south of us.  We had a great time and returned home later in the afternoon.  Thanks so much for praying.

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY

And you, fathers,do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord.
Ephesians 6:4

Fathers are given a charge to keep; it is very vital indeed,
At home, he and his wife, with God's help, will succeed.
Children are their heritage and need mom and dad today,
Fathers, take the lead, and do your duty without delay.
Don't provoke these precious ones, but train them in the Lord,
Children will bless your home, my friend; they are your reward.
We honor fathers on this your special day; God bless you all,
Give God first place in your life, and upon His name please call.(RP)

Most today will reflect on their fathers.  What special memories they bring. Our son and his wife have invited us to have lunch with them at a designated place.  Right after church we will meet them and enjoy a great time with family.  We trust your day also will be enjoyable.  I am anxious to get back into writing.  I went through the notes Margie has been preparing from our journals. Last night several new ideas came to me for new chapters in our next book as I read them.  Hopefully this week I will have time to write some more. Thanks for praying.

SMOKE ALARMS

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7

Some folks are anxious for many things; others are nervous for sure,
But God has the answer for you, my friend, right here He gives the cure.
Communion with God in earnest prayer is the way to ease your load,
Talk to Him, and you'll soon learn there is relief as you walk this road.
Something else awaits those who will talk to God; peace is his reward,
And His care of your heart and mind, is some thing that can't be ignored.
His peace is something no one understands: it is His special gift to us,
Enjoy what He gives, and give Him praise, for this blessing which is a plus. (RP)

During the night we were awakened with the famous "beep" of the smoke detectors.  Fortunately there was no smoke, it was just warning of a battery giving out.  So today I must get 9V batteries and replace MANY in our house.  Years ago we installed them with a company who convinced us it was a good deal.  And we are sure it is. We have had plenty of rain the last several hours.  I cancelled my walk this morning because of it.  I plan to prepare stuffed green peppers this morning to distribute to friends (and for our lunch).  Thanks for praying.

HALF-WAY THROUGH

Revelation 21:23
The city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in it, for the glory of God illuminated it. The Lamb is its light.

Heaven is a wonderful place prepared for those who claim Jesus as Lord,
Through Jesus they have received redemption, and heaven is their reward.
In heaven, there will be no sun shine, not even moon light needed at night.
Because there is no night there, and Jesus is the One who gives it light.
God's glory will illuminate everything; no light bulbs are needed up there,
The Lamb is its light and that's all we need, along with His loving care. (RP)

It hardly seems possible that today we complete our 23rd week in the study of the book of Revelation.  It has been a rich time.  We now take a break for the summer session.  Lord willing on September 5, we return to resume studies.  The class has been a blessing.  The members are good students, and we have such a great time going through the text of Scripture, learning as we go. We will miss those Friday encounters, but on the other hand, we will get back to our writing of the next book and other things we have set aside during the class sessions.  Thanks so much for praying.

PRAYER MEETING

Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. Ephesians 6:11

God offers believers the equipment to stand as we battle the devil each day,
His armor is there for each one to put on, but it only works if we obey.
Put on this armor described in God's Word, each piece has protection for us,
It will fail if we don't follow His command; for the one who only distrusts.
In this matter we may not pick and choose which piece we want today,
God orders the whole armor to be worn by us if we intend to do things His way.(RP)

We are happy our church has a prayer meeting.  Even though the number is small, we know the Lord takes pleasure in those who gather for corporate prayer.  What a privilege it is.  Margie & I visited some shut-ins yesterday and it was a joy to be able to minister to them.  This morning Margie goes to the hairdresser.  The weakness in her arms makes it impossible for her to do her own, as she did for many years.  Our grandson dropped in for awhile yesterday to tap into our WiFi, so he could do some business on the iPad.  We were glad to have him here.  I made him a latte.  Thanks for praying.  We appreciate it.

ALMOST AHEAD OF SCHEDULE

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
Psalm 46:1

When we run to Him for refuge, we need strength for every day,
And God is our strength for every situation we face along the way.
When we need help He is always there to show us what to do,
And for that help we thank Him and for His blessings-not a few.
Today, go forth and live for Him, telling others of his love,
And let them know there is One who cares, our Father up above.
(RP)
Rarely do we have this situation where we are ahead of our normal schedule of things.  But this week things are going well.  I am ahead in my preparations for the last Bible class in the book of Revelation for the summer.  The lesson study sheet is already printed for distribution Friday.  I still have more studying for the class, but that is always the case.  We had a good day yesterday and today is promising as well.  I will work on the church prayer sheet for use at our Thursday prayer meeting and also for the Sunday bulletin. In other words we never run out of things to do, but it is encouraging we are not far behind.  Thank YOU for praying.

CHANGE OF WEATHER

Then we your people, the sheep of your pasture, will praise you forever; from generation to generation we will recount your praise. Psalms 79:13

The relationship between sheep and Shepherd, is given in God's Book,
It is good once in a while to check it out, and take a careful look.
Contented sheep rest peacefully as the Shepherd stands his guard,
We as believers are thankful indeed, and will not this fact disregard.
As God's children through faith in Jesus, we praise our Lord forever,
And we want our children and their children, to continue this endeavor.
We have so much to tell them of His goodness, grace, and love,
And we never tire telling them of the day, we'll be with Him above.(RP)

To us it really does not make any difference when there is a change of weather.  We have experienced wonderful moderate days with beautiful sunshine, and not too hot.   Today it is cloudy, windy and cooler.  But all that is okay with us.  We have so much to do that these changes are not a bother.  Today I have an early morning meeting, and later a dental appointment.  After that I will do some shopping and return home.  Never a dull moment.  I am trying to walk a mile, but today I can't work it in before I leave for town.  Thanks for your prayers.

FLOWERS

. Psalm 37:3
Trust in the LORD, and do good;
Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness.

Submitting our lives to the care of the Lord is what He wants us to do.
Just trust him, my friend, and let Him be your guide, in all you pursue.
His faithfulness  is limitless, and so  we can  feed on it every day.
Stay firmly fixed on His solid land, and you will rejoice all the way(RP)

We are way overdue to get our flower garden in shape.  It is cleaned out and this year we are going to use decorative planter trays or boxes.  It is very poor soil and I am not sure I could ever get it in healthy shape to support flowers the way they should be treated.  We did last year, but want to try something different this time.  We had a good day yesterday and our son and family left late afternoon.  It is always nice having them here.  Thanks for praying.

OUR PLAN

Jesus answered, It is written: 'Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.
Matthew 4:4

Some think they are self-sustaining, and life is dependent on them,
But God tells us a different story, and it is contained in a little gem.
Food alone does not do the job, we're told in the Word of God,
We need God's Word in our hearts, to avoid living a facade.
All through the Bible instruction is given, to direct us along the way,
Heeding these commands is the best way to go, so please do not delay(RP)

Our plan for Sunday is almost always the same.  We attend Sunday School first thing, then the worship service.  We are thankful we can do this.  Some are no longer able to attend services, due to illness.  Today the elevator at church is out of commission.  Margie is determined to make it up the flight of stairs into the sanctuary. We were asked to call those who normally use the elevator, so they would know whether they can attend or not.  Hopefully by mid-week, the machine will be fixed.  It is amazing how dependent we are on such marvelous helps.  Margie appreciates the elevator very much.  Thanks, dear friends, for your prayers.

VISIT

We know that we are of God, and the whole world lies under the sway of the wicked one. 1 John 5:19

To be in Christ, is vital to me, because in Him I am very secure,
Having Him as my Savior and Lord today is something that is sure.
Without this spiritual anchor, one never can experience real joy,
The wicked one works in this world of ours and his aim is to destroy.
So determine this day to receive God's gift, and enjoy eternal life,
With Christ in your life, and sins forgiven, you'll know He takes away strife.(RP)

Our son is here, having arrived last night.  His family will be here today so we will be able to enjoy them for a few hours.  They will have lunch with us.  I will fix some green peppers for lunch and distribute some to friends here in Ferndale. It sould be a full busy enjoyable day.  Our Bible study yesterday went well and we have one more class next Friday before closing for the summer.  Thanks for your prayers,

FRIDAY

Ephesians 6:12
For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

The forces of evil are strong in the world; God tells us it is this way,
The battle we fight needs His sovereign help; we ask for this as we pray.
The organized evil which pervades our world is more than we can endure,
We must be in Christ, our Savior and Lord, a place that is very secure.(RP)

Those who are old enough can remember Paul Harvey beginning this day with his famous line:  "It's Friday"!  Here we are again and it's time to go to Bible class.  We have only one more Friday (next week) and our class will end for the summer.  We will be in chapter 13 of Revelation.  So we are just a little bit past half way.  Today Margie & must look for some flowers to put in our planters which will adorn our front yard garden area.  We have been very late getting to this task, but it seems other things have crowded out that project. Thank you for your faithful prayer support.

ONE MILE

Behold, how good and how pleasant it is For brethren to dwell together in unity!
Psalm 133:1

Do you have trouble with brothers and sisters in Christ?
Do you think God's demands are too high priced?
With Him it is possible to live in unity, but there is a price to pay.
You must submit to the Spirit of God and then everything will be okay.
Listen to Him, and you will soon find out that things are pleasant and nice,
And dwelling together in unity is surely the best advice.(RP)

I have been wanting to walk for quite some time.  Today I decided to do it.  For many years Margie & I walked each morning at least one mile.  Since she has been unable to do this, I also have not done it.  Well, I know I should get the exercise.  It went well today.  It took just 5 minutes more than the previous time, although I am not trying to beat any records.  Just to be able to walk is a blessing.  We take Margie to the hair salon today and this afternoon is prayer meeting. Thanks for praying

WEDNESDAY CHORES

Proverbs 15:18
A wrathful man stirs up strife, but he who is slow to anger allays contention.

An angry man does havoc as he stirs up strife and fights,
And if he is not careful this behavior more trouble incites.
Much better is he who is calm, and does not get angry and mad,
His attitude influences others, and in the end makes others glad.(RP)

Do you follow a schedule?  We do.  Today is the day beds are remade with fresh sheets.  And because of that it's washday.  We will be working on that until just about lunch time.  If Margie is feeling strong enough she will iron the clothes.  She also does all the folding, after I get them dried.  We bought a new iron so it will be nice to have a "quiet" one instead of the very noisy iron we are replacing.  I will continue my work in Revelation, because we have only two more classes before the summer break. So we will keep busy today. I also will work up the prayer sheet for tomorrow at prayer meeting and as an insert in the Sunday bulletin at church.  Thanks so much for your prayer support.  It means a lot to us.

ELECTRIC EYE

Proverbs 10:19
In the multitude of words sin is not lacking,But he who restrains his lips is wise.

Oh the folly of many words spoken without the heart,
Revealing the sin of the speaker and proving he's not very smart.
The ones who are wise surely restrain their lips,
Saving themselves from a serious trap and many a heartache skips.(RP)

A long time ago I changed our porch lights so the electric eyes would turn them on and off.  Because of cloudy days, it does not always work.  I many time have to do it manually.  But the last few days has been great.  This morning it's cloudy so I had to switch it off manually.  Yesterday we had a quick trip into town to get some staples.  We are always glad to be back home again.  Last night I was able to help our son and grandson with a school project he was doing.  It involved printing a booklet about one of the class subjects at school.   I do that sort of thing almost daily so could lend them some ideas to help. We trust you all have a great day.  Thanks for your prayers.

BEAUTIFUL MONDAY

For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.
Philippians 3:20

For the believer, the world is not home, our citizenship is up there, We are here for just a short stay, and this story we want to share.
All who have trusted Jesus, are secure and longing for that day,
When He will call us to heaven where forever we will stay.
We eagerly wait for His call to take us to heaven, my friend,
If you're ready to go, thank God, for that day your troubles will end. (RP)

It's a beautiful Monday.  It is only blue because the sky is clear and the sun shining brightly.  We have our schedule for the day.  We must get some supplies so will be shopping.  We had a wonderful day yesterday both at church and Margie's sister's birthday celebration.  Rawlie and Gina were also there, and it was a very nice time revisiting friends and making new ones.  We trust your day will be a delight to you.  Thanks for praying.

BIRTHDAY

He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him.
Ps 91:15
A challenge to pray comes to us in this verse,
With a promise of an answer too.
So do what it says and you soon will see,
That He'll do more than you ever knew.(RP)

After church today we will go to a relative's home to give our congratulations to Margie's sister Barbara who is celebrating her birthday.  Our son and his wife will also be there.  We look forward to this time with family.  We also look forward to church today.  We trust you do also.  Thanks for your prayers,
