Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, and uphold me by Your generous Spirit. Psalm 51:12
Oh the sweet plea of the psalmist here, talking to God in prayer,
Down in the dumps as it were, with sadness in there somewhere.
He prays for the joy he found when he met Christ so long ago,
His heavenly Father sweetly bestows it, and his heart is now aglow.
How wonderful to renew this joy that our salvation brings,
God's generous Spirit works this in us and our heart sings. (RP)
Our grandson, Benny graduated from High School Friday night. This afternoon his folks are having friends in to celebrate with him. Lord willing we will attend. Yesterday was a BIG day with a funeral in the morning and another graduation celebration in the afternoon. It was a full but blessed day. We look forward to services this morning. Thanks for praying.
