DURING THE NIGHT

Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.
Philippians 1:6

God will do what he ordains- what a comfort for us all,
And He faithfully works things out whether great or very small.
When He begins a work in us you can know He'll finish well,
Trust Him fully with all your heart and, your doubts He will dispel.
He keeps on working in your life the work started long ago,
And it will last until He comes with His blessing to bestow.(RP)

Last night I noticed the heart monitor on Margie was blinking at a fierce rate.,  I dared ont awaken her but was concerned.  When she awakened later, I checked to see if all the contact points were correctly fastened to her body, then checked the communicator (cell phone gadget) It lit up immediately declaring the testing was over and all could be shut down.  It's the last day of the month, which was the time period of testing.  We removed the wallet containing the machine and now she is free from that awkward mess aroiund her neck, etc.  I will send these machines to the right source and in a few months the cardiologist will give his judgment on what should be done - if anything, for Margie. Thanks so much for praying.

LAST DAY

By faith Moses... refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter, choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God than to enjoy the passing pleasures of sin.
Hebrews 11:24-25

Faith gives us courage to do what's right,
It gives us stability in the midst of the fight.
With it we have strength to side with God,
Even when others think we are odd.
Faith soothes the sores of affliction and strife,
It ignores passing pleasures and chooses His life. (RP)

This is the last day Margie wears the event recorder and communicator around her neck in the special wallet I got for her Online.  She will be glad not to have this beeping beauty sounding off every few minutes 24 hours a day.  I spent the good part of the morning getting an ad in the paper for the open house for our 60th anniversary August 16.  Now I can focus on other things around the house to do.  Thanks so much for praying.

GOOD REPORT

for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content.
Philip.1:11

It’s hard to learn this lesson, Lord for we who are so weak,
But give us faith & courage, Your will to always seek.

The cardiologist report yesterday was good.  In all tests thus far taken and all data received, at least there is no indication at this point that Margie needs a pacemaker.  For this we are glad.  We will see the main cardiologist Dec 1, at which time he will have received all the data from the heart monitor Margie is wearing now, and be able to make a judgment.  We are praying all will be well and no further treatment will be necessary.  But we know that is all in the Lord's hands.  We are looking forward to a more leisurely day.  Thanks so much for praying.

TODAY

Psalm 71:6
By You I have been upheld from birth; You are He who took me out of my mother's womb. My praise shall be continually of You.

God sustains us, from our birth until we die,
No one else can do it, this we cannot deny.
Because He cares, let us praise His name,
And to serve Him, will be our daily aim(RP)

This afternoon Margie sees the doctor who started her out with the Event Recorder and Communicator.  These small devices fit into a neck wallet.  She will be glad when the testing period is over.  We don't know if that is today or the actual end of the month.  We will know in a few hours.  Yesterday was a pleasant day at church.  In the afternoon Rawlie exchanged the water line to the bathroom toilet resevoir.  It was leaking badly so he replaced it.  I made some minor adjustments on the flushing mechanism and now it all works very well.  The weather man promises hotter days so we appreciate more and more the evaporation coolers which actually drop the temperature 7-11 degrees.   What a difference that makes for sleeping.  Thanks, dear friends, for praying.

ANTICIPATION

So he answered and said to me:This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel:'Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,' Says the Lord of hosts.
Zechariah 4:6

We cannot brag of many things, God gives us what we are,
We could not do a thing, and for sure we would not go far,
The Lord of hosts says it right; it's by His Spirit we are led,
Let God  have control; you will get ahead.(RP)

Margie will be happy when she no longer has to wear the heart monitor.  She is hoping tomorrow's visit at the cardiovascular unit will tell her that.  If not, at least there are not many more days left in the month.  She was to wear it one month.  Today we look forward, as always, to church.  We enjoy our Sunday School class and then the morning service.  Our son and his family are in Ferndale, so we will get to see them some more before they return home to Standwood.  The weatherman tells us it will be warm today. We know that his prediction is nothing like those who live in the southland.  We have no complaints.  Thanks for praying.

GOOD NEWS

The name of the LORD is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe.
Proverbs 18:10

The name of the Lord means much to us, He is so strong and sure,
In Him is all the believer needs and a place so very secure.
When troubles arise and one needs help, come to God right now,
He will encourage and give you hope; and only His way allow.
Safety in Him is the promise to us; anything else will not do,
Stay with Him and trust always, He will see you through.(RP)

Margie received word from the Cardiovascular unit yesterday that her nuclear stress test went well.  Nothing negative was revealed in the testing.  This is truly an answer to prayer and we thank all who intereceded for her.  Yesterday we had lunch with Margie's siblings, plus our son and his wife, and friends of George Monroe, John and Priscilla.  What a special time it was to visit and be together.  Thanks again for your prayer support.

ENCOUNTER

Philippians 4:6
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;

We all are anxious to some degree, and the Lord speaks now to us,
Listen up to the advice He gives and put a stop to your fuss.
If we would pray as He ordains and thank Him more and more,
We'd be blest so very much and there would be more in store.
(RP)

Today we will meet people we do not know.  The lady's parents were missionaries in Brazil. Our son Rawlie and his wife will also be with us so they can meet her also.  Rawlie was born in Brazil, so the visit should be interesting.  Margie's brother George (Spud), and wife Margaret Monroe, arranged this encounter.  We look forward to it and will speak of it more tomorrow, after the fact. Yesterday and the day before we had lots of rain, now today things start to warm up again.  Margie is doing well.  Thanks so much for your prayers.

ON THE GO

The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.
John 10:10

False shepherds abound in this world today, seeking the souls of mankind,
Greed for themselves, and harm to the sheep; to this they are resigned.
But Jesus comes to give life to the lost, salvation and hope for them all,
And abundant life for all who will come, whether they are great or small.

The days seem to rush on.  They go faster all the time.  It's hard to believe that it is Thursday already.  Today Margie visits the hair salon so Mary can make her hair look nice for Sunday.  Margie with arthritis and shoulder surgery cannot do it well alone.  She needs help.  The afternoon prayer time at church is important to us so it is our priority each week.  We will tell about it tomorrow, when it comes.  There never seem to be any dull moments.  Margie will see the specialist Monday regarding the Event Recorder and Communicator she wears in the special neck wallet.  I am sure she will be glad when that has ended.  Thanks so much for your prayers,

WHAT DID YOU SAY?

Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching.
2 Tim 4:2

God's command is strong and straight in the things He would have us do.
We better take heed to His words and diligently learn to pursue.
When the Word is preached by faithful ones and taught in a meaningful way,
Many things take place in the hearers, we're told, so it behooves us to readily obey.
Be ready is the word and longsuffering is required of those who faithfully preach,
They will receive very much in reward and look at how many they reach  (RP)

My follow-up appointment at the audiologist revealed a little more loss of the high notes in my left ear.  A computer adjustment in the device did the trick and now things are even better.  It is amazing what they can do these days.  Margie is doing well after her stress test.  Monday we will be talking to the professionals about the Event Recorder and Communicator devices that record her system 24 hours a day.  Each morning we change the battery in the recorder, and put new patches on for the sensors.  It's a process, but worth it to get some results to the doctors. The rain came this morning and will taper off during the day and the warmer weather will return, we are told.  Thanks for praying.

AUDIOLOGIST

Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.      Matthew 26:41

The lessons of prayer by Jesus Himself are truly a blessing to read,
And after we read and meditate we should do what's right and heed.
Temptations assail us every day and we combat them with prayer,
By trusting the Lord and giving to Him all our worries and care.
We desire more than anything to do these things each day,
But we are weak and need His help so go to Him without delay(RP)

Yesterday's stress test for Margie went well and we were back home in time for lunch.  We were glad it was not a strenuous thing. Today I go for a 6 month check up on my hearing devices.  I will be retested and adjustments made to the computer-like units, if needed. I will get new supplies in order for me to do the daily mantenance on them as I always do.  I clean them thoroughly each night when I remove them. They are amazing and I am thankful for them.  The weatherman declares that tomorrow will be WET.  We have had practically no moisture for a long time.  Everything is dry.  Fires in eastern Washington are among the worst on record.  Thanks dear friends, for praying.  We appreciate it.

NUCLEAR STRESS TEST

Acts 4:12
Nor is there salvation in an other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men which we must be saved.

Salvation is certain and there's only one way to enter the heavenly place,
It is Jesus who saves us and we get there when his plan is embraced.
No other person or creed or rule can save a lost sinner my friend,
So come to Jesus and receive Him right now and you are certain to have the right end.

We are off to the Cardiology Center for Margie's nuclear stress test. We will inform you later of how it went.  Thanks for praying.

OUTDOOR CHURCH

For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.Romans 8:28-29

The love of God is powerful, and greater than we understand.
It started with God and is something He definitely planned.
Because He is love, all He does is governed by love,
And we thank Him for this as we pray to our Father above.
The love of God is intense; nothing can separate us from it,
All the forces of evil and everything, this fact are forced to admit.
So nothing in the world my friend, can separate us from God,
Thank Him for this as you journey on, and on this road daily trod.(RP)

Today, church is supposed to held in a Ferndale park.  If it is raining, the service will be held in the church.  The picnic lunch will be served at the park, no matter what the weather is. So this should be an interesting day.  It is cloudy, windy and much cooler today.  Yesterday it rained a little.  The memorial service went well yesterday for Lillian Lancaster.  Margie today is on a special regimen, in preparation for the nuclear stress test tomorrow.  Please pray that all will go well.  We thank you for this.

MEMORIAL SERVICE

But above all, my brethren, do not swear, either by heaven or by earth or with any other oath. But let your Yes,be Yes, and your ;No,No, lest you fall into judgment.
James 5:12

It makes a difference, yes it does, the words we say each day,
God gives the orders and it's up to us if we really will obey
We are not to swear in any way, but let our words positive be,
Doing this God's way we are on the right road and to this His words agree.
His judgment will fall on disobedient ones and their lot is sad indeed,
For no one can go against God's commands and ever expect to succeed.(RP)

Yesterday was the burial for Lillian Lancaster and today is the memorial service.  Pastor Dave Lunsford and I will be conducting it. It will be this morning with a light lunch provided.  We had a nice time with the family yesterday. Today our son should arrive to be at the service and do some more work on their places here.  OUr grandson Nathan, completed yesterday his paperwork to receive his contractors license.  Next is his electrical journeyman's license which is practically completed.  We have had a drastic change in weather but still no rain.  It cooled down considerably which is the first time in a long time.   Thanks dear friends for praying.  Margie starts her special regimen today in preparation for the nuclear stress test at 7:30 Monday morning.

ACTIVITY

May He grant you according to your heart's desire,
And fulfill all your purpose.
Psa. 20:4
A beautiful prayer is this for you if you're walking with God today,
Our heart's desire should always be His, as walk this pilgrim way.
May God be pleased to fulfill our wish for the thing we want the most,
And our gratitude to Him will be always this" in Him we will make our boast.(RP)

As we grow older, I guess we forget that our days can get very filled with much activity.  Yesterday was such a day as were some others this week.  We had three very important appointments yesterday.  We are grateful Margie is able to, and wanting to be part of them. We mailed to our list yesterday an announcement relative to the open house for our 60th wedding anniversary in August 16.  We have already received many comments about it.  Thank you again, for your prayers.

GREAT DAY

Ps 119:130
The entrance of Your words gives light; It gives understanding to the simple.
The Word of God how great it is for those who love the Lord,
It brings us joy and teaches us and touches a tender chord.
The light it brings us gladdens one and helps us on our way,
And helps the simples ones like me to live for Him each day.(RP)

Margie had a wonderful birthday.  Many sent her greetings on Facebook, phone calls, e-mail & cards received, plus several phone calls.  At her favorite restaurant, they congratulated her with a candle-lit chocolate sundae.  We had more trouble with her heart monitor but technical support got it worked out for us.  Today is another full day with 3 major appointments ahead. Again we ask ou to pray for her upcoming nuclear stress test on Saturday morning at 7:30.  Thanks for praying.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

Jeremiah 33:3
‘Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’

At times we think God is silent and wonder why He doesn't speak
When the truth of matter is this: that from us He has not heard a "squeak"
He plainly has said he will answer if we truly call unto Him,
And things will quickly be changed and our cup will fill to the brim.
Great & mighty things he'll show when we come to him in prayer,
And for those who call He's willing, wonderful blessings to share.
(RP)

Margie celebrates today and has already received calls and Facebook greetings about it.  We plan to have lunch at her favorite place also.  This morning started out with an event to record on the heart machine. But the communicator did not receive it properly so I will be calling them again today about it.  I had to call them Monday night also.  We have much activity now until next Tuesday.  Lillian Lancaster's memorial service is Saturday.  Margie has the nuclear stress test on Monday.  Please pray.  We thank you for praying.

GLITCH

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
Rom. 16:24

God gives us things we don't deserve.; that's what grace is all about,
Paul prayed the Romans would have this grace and receive it without a doubt,
We can be thankful today my friend, that God saved us by His grace,
And because of this our sins are gone and soon we’ll see His face.(RP)

There was a glitch in the computer system of Margie's Event
Recorder and Communicator last night.  I called support and they finally walked me through the problem.  Now, the machine should be recording everything the way it was supposed to.  Actually the technician told me it records everything and has transmitted to headquarters now all the data.  It is an amazing machine.  Monday Margie has that special nuclear stress test and we appreciate your prayers about it.  Dietary restrictions will make it quite difficult for her.  Thanks so much for praying.

SPECIAL INVITATION

The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge. He is my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.
Psalms 18:2

When you list all the things the Lord is to us, we are blessed indeed,
It's a known fact, none other comes close, no one can Him exceed.
He is a shelter and rest for the weary; a deliverer for the oppressed, My Rock for a foundation sure, and a refuge which is the best. Praise Him for salvation, and strength, helping us everywhere,
And the joy and privilege it is, to come to Him in prayer.(RP)

We were blessed yesterday at church then to have our family take us to lunch to celebrate Margie's birthday which is coming soon.  We had such a good time and returned to our house for some dessert and more fellowship.  Then they left for home.  It was a very warm day so our evaporation coolers helped tremendously.  They lower the temperature about 10 - 11 degrees.  That's pretty good for a machine which costs so little to run. This morning our doors and windows are open to allow the refreshing cool air circulate in our house, hopefully getting it ready for the heat of the afternoon.  Margie is doing well on the event recorder she wears.  Yesterday there were no events to manually record.  Thanks for your prayers,

IT'S SUNDAY !

1 Peter 4:8
And above all things have fervent love for one another, for love will cover a multitude of sins.

The Christian family is a God-given thing; a precious gift indeed,
Love is needed in this family so great, and to this we are agreed.
God orders that fervent love be the rule, in all our dealings each day,
And when this is done, we treat others with love, all along the way.(RP)

We look forward to church today with Sunday School and worship service tht follows.  Our family is here and they are treating us to lunch, to honor Margie's birthday.  That will be a fun time for sure. Yesterday we attended a garden salad luncheon at the house of one of the church members.  The garden was filled with many varieties of flowers, all in full bloom.  It was beautiful. Margie is doing well with her Event Recorder and Communicator machines.  Yesterday there was no incident to record.  What a blessing.  Thanks for praying.

WEATHER

Psalm 25:5
Lead me in Your truth and teach me, For You are the God of my salvation; On You I wait all the day.

This pray I make you to oh Lord, as I tell you what's on my heart,
I want You to teach me all that I need to help me never depart.
Your truth gives direction every day of my life; help me again today,
And I delight to wait on Your leading in all that I do and say(RP)

The weather has been much warmer.  We are so glad to have evaporation coolers.  At night when the family room is 78, our bedroom stays around 68.  That's delightful sleeping conditions.  Our son and his family arrived yesterday to work on their place up here.  I baked stuffed peppers and distributed some to others.  I also washed the car because the local car wash was shut when we went there.  I also fertilized the rose bush and other flowers, so I guess I am ahead for today.  We have a couple of events to take care of today.  Margie continues to do well and we are so grateful the retina specialist gave her a pretty good report yesterday, and gave her another injection in the eye.  We will see him 9 weeks from now.  Thanks for praying

SPECIALIST

Proverbs 18:10
The name of the LORD is a strong tower; The righteous run to it and are safe.

We are so weak in many ways, and we need to have strength today,
It's wonderful to have Jesus, who is strength for the way.
Those who are His, run to Him for help, as they travel here below,
And give thanks to Him for safety given, and blessings he can bestow(RP)

Today Margie sees the retina specialist for her eye treatment.  We had to cancel a session when she was in the hospital.  Yesterday was a full day and after four things on our "to do" list, we arrived home about 7 last night.  We visited Lillian Lancaster in Hospice House. She can no longer talk. Her trip to Heaven will be soon her family believes.  The weather has been super warm but tolerable.  In our family room last night it was 78 degrees F., but in our bedroom with the evaporation cooler, it was 68 degrees F.  What a difference!  It makes good sleeping conditions, that's for sure. Thanks for your prayers,

OPINION

For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.
2 Corinthians 5:10

What a sobering thought before us today, that judgment is coming for all,
For believers will also stand before Him, to account for things great and small.
The Lord is noting how we live down here, and the things we daily do,
At that judgment we'll give account to Him and the truth we will not skew.
In light of all this, let us live today, as Christ would want us to live,
Exalt His name by the way you live, and to Him all glory give.(RP)

Yesterday Margie saw her regular doctor per instructions of the cardiologist in her discharge orders from the hospital.  Her doctor suggested she have the nuclear stress test done, for it will help them determine what is causing her heart palpitations and irregularities.  Margie was dreading this test and had almost decided to decline, but now she will pursue it.  Please pray much about this test July 21.  We had a very busy day.  At the end of the day we heard that our dear friend Lillian Lancaster, former missionary to Japan, was being transferred to Hospice Care in Bellingham, Washington.  We went to see her. After reading the Bible and prayer, we came home. Thank you so much for your prayers.

FOLLOW-UP

James 1:19
So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath.

Let's learn to listen more, to what is being said,
By doing this today, I know you'll be ahead.
At times we speak before we should, that's true,
This leads to problems, resulting in a stew.
When dealing with life's problems let us learn,
Anger is wrong, and shunning it is our concern(RP)

Today Margie has an appointment with her doctor.  This visit is to review with her the result of her recent 5-day stay in the hospital.  Margie will be discussing with her what to do about more tests the cardiologists want her to do.  We appreciate your prayers about this.  She continues with the special Event Recorder and Communicator hanging around her neck.  The pouch I made for these machines will be substituted by one I ordered online last night.  Thanks for praying.

CELL PHONE

John 5:21
Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen.

Idols are all around us, in many fashions and forms,
And they hinder our walk with the Lord like furious storms.
Whatever one loves more than God, is his idol for sure,
We should examine our hearts and make sure they are pure(RP)

I spent time on the phone last night, getting my cell phone to function properly.  We are thankful for technicians who know how to do these things.  Now it works like it is supposed to.  When all else fails, call the people who know.  Margie has an appointment mid-morning and we will take advantage of the trip to pick up some essentials at the store.  We had a good day yesterday.  Margie continues to report her episodes on the recorder attached to her.  We are praying all this data will help the expersts know what to do. Thanks so much for praying

BEAUTIFUL MONDAY

Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for Him; do not fret....
Psalm 37:7

Some uneasily go through life, impatiently confronting the days.Instead of resting in Jesus who will help you in all your ways.We must learn to rest in the Lord, leaving with him every fret,Patiently wait things out, and soon those concerns you'll forget.(RP)

It's going to be warmer in Ferndale today, so we opened the doors and windows to let the cool morning air change the temperature inside.  It is great.  Yesterday was a quiet day, except for Sunday School and church.  We enjoyed our time there, then returned to have an easy lunch at home.   The rest of the day was spent in reading, sorting e-mail and I did write one more story for our book. We now have 118 written.  Without our diaries and Margie's effort to find seed-thought ideas, I never could have done it.  I watered the flowers and hanging basket, and gave a hearty drink to the rose bush and deer-proofed it one more time.  It has all new fresh leaves since the deer ate the 35 flowers and buds and leaves off it two weeks ago.  Oh the joy of having deer in the city limits!  Thanks so much for praying.  Margie had a good day and night, and we only had to record manually about 4 incidents with the Event Recorder which is aroud her neck 24 h ours a day.

FAMILY

Be hospitable to one another without grumbling.
1 Peter 4:9

God's Word is practical and helps us so much,
It gives instructions and a delightful touch.
Hospitality is something we all should do,
If to God's Word we want to be true.
Believe it or not, some grumble and complain,
From some instruction they would rather abstain.
Let's learn a lesson from this verse today,
Be hospitable, and don't complain, this is the best way.(RP)

Yesterday we had our family here.  Only our middle grandson was not able to be here.  Margie felt strong enough to bake a pineapple upside-down cake.  Boy was it delicious! We both worked toghether on the meal. We had such a wonderful time during the meal.  This helped them have more time to work on their projects while in Ferndale.  Margie continues with her Event Recorder which is hanging in a special pouch I made for it and the Communicator (a sophisticated cells phone that transmits information to headquarters) Thanks so much for praying.

"QUIET" DAY

It shall come to pass that before they call, I will answer; And while they are still speaking, I will hear.
Isa 65:24
Our God answers prayers in different ways and it takes us so long to learn,
But the ways of God are beyond us, who helps those who for Him yearn.
Sometimes He answers before we call and we are amazed at this,
And at times while we are praying He comes with a sweet assist.

Except the firecrackers, it was a quiet day.  We were just glad to be home together.  Later part of our family came and it was nice to visit with them.  We slept okay, despite the noise.  With fans on full speed the sound was baffled, working out real well.  Today Margie wants to have our son and grandson here for the noon meal.  I will go to the store and get some things for that.  Rawlie and I will have coffee while there.   Trust your day goes well.  Thanks so much for praying.  Margie had one episode with her heart this morning which was recorded on the machine, before I changed the contacts and placed a new battery in the machine.

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY

John 8:36
Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.

Independence Day speaks of freedom for us all,
And I pray that on this special day upon the Lord we'll call.
Those in Christ are free indeed and this we can't deny,
Spiritual freedom is precious indeed and comes from God on high.
If you are lost without Christ, my friend, come, get salvation today,
By trusting what Jesus did for you, and you'll be free without delay.
(RP)

This is a great day for America.  We thank God for Independence, and pray much for our country today.  We need revival, and we pray Christians will be the shining light for the gospel in our land.  Margie and I are spending a quiet day at home.  It won't be quiet tonight, but we know how to baffle the sounds and get our sleep.  Margie had a pretty good day yesterday.  She is still recovering, however, from so many days in the hospital without good sleep.  I was able to have a good conversation with both of my brothers on Skype and appreciated much being able to visit with them.  We trust your day goes well.  Thanks for praying.

BLESSED SLEEP

If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
2 Chronicles 7:14

What a wonderful promise we have in these words; something for us all,
God instructs us to do some important things when we upon Him call.
Humility ranks high as God looks at us; our attitude is important to Him,
Obedience in this is important to Him and life will not be grim.
When we turn away from wickedness, and look steadfast into His face,
He will hear us well, and do marvels indeed and fill us with His grace.
With sins forgiven, and communion restored, your days will blessed indeed,
You'll know His healing in all you do, and with His blessing you will succeed.(RP)

We are rejoicing in the the two nights of wonderful sleep Margie has experienced since being home.   What a blessing!  She is adapting slowly to the Event Recorder which hangs in pouch (which I fabricated last night) around her neck .  It is a sophisticated gadget and when she feels a different pattern in her heart beat or breathing, she presses a button.  This signal is processed, then sent to a cell phone especially for this machine which turns on and gives her about 8 options from which to choose to describe her condition. She presses that, and in the next window, she is asked if this condition appeared as a result of heavy activity or when at rest.  Several other options are give from which she must choose the one that best describes her condition.  It is not as hard as I have probably sounded here, but it is a marvelous way for corporate headquarters to keep track of her progress.  Her special cell phone-like device sends all information to them where it is stored under her name in their computer.  The doctors even programmed her event recorder to detect the problems even if she is not able to go through the "ritual" outlined above.  She will wear this for an entire month.  Thanks so much for praying.

HOME

Your word I have hidden in my heart,That I might not sin against You.
Psalm 119:11

So much that's hidden in this life is certainly not very good,
And mysterious things and sinful acts that really are not understood.
But God ordains that we hide His Word deeply within our heart,
And if we do we will not sin nor from His ways depart.(RP)

Finally after 4:30 yesterday, we arrived home.  It had been a long day.  Margie did not sleep the night before and most of the day was spent WAITING for discharge red tape procedures.  An EVENT RECORDER was installed on her and we were given instructions how to use it. We were mighty glad when we were able to come home.  She had been in the hospital 5 days. As I write this Margie is still in bed and hopefully asleep.  I have a dental appointment this morning.  We sincerely thank all who prayed for Margie's situation.  We are praying she will have no more episodes like the one that took us to the ER last Friday morning.   Thanks for praying.

EVENT MONITOR

But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
1 Corinthians 15:57

Victory -freedom-peace and such things, are what folks are looking for,
They're looking intently all in the wrong place and what they get is war.
Oh that mankind to Jesus would look, finding peace for their troubled souls,
And soon they would know how much they have gained for Jesus truly consoles.(RP)

At this point, Margie does not need a pacemaker.  They determined this yesterday.  They will, however, put an event monitor on her for 30 days.  After this they will examine the data and determine what needs to be done next.  We will appreciate your prayer about this.  Margie is extremely tired and needs to be home where she is in her comfort zone her main problem right now is sleep.  She hasn't slept well since she was in the hospital.  She called this morning at 4:42 wanting me to be with her.  I am in the process of getting these things taken care of, then I will go in.   Thanks so much for praying.  We are hopeful she can be released today.
