1 Timothy 6:6-8
Now godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content.
Contentment is a God-given thing from above.something for Christians each day,
Those who claim it are blessed indeed as they live and His will obey.
We must learn to enjoy what God has given, because it is always the best,
And when we do this, He blesses us more, and relieves us from much unrest.
So whatever you have dear Christian, whether food and clothes and other things,
Be content and enjoy what you have, because this is what true joy brings.(RP)
Friday night's outreach ministry at our church was a success. The entire event was bathed in prayer. Hundreds visited our church parking lot where they received not only free food, but Christian literature, Bibles, gospel tracts, and much more. In the church welcome room was a prayer meeting. The throngs that visited outside could register prayer requests in written form which were given to those in the prayer room. It was our privilege to be a part of the prayer room ministry. At one time 6 former missionaries were around the table praying for the events that transpired in the parking lot. I forgot to mention that an amazing maze was constructed in the church basement with all sorts of intriguing features. This also was a big attraction. The coordinator came into the prayer room just after the event officially closed to say the last of 800 pounds of candy had just been distributed. Thanks so much for praying.
